We’ve done an annual week-long Florida beach trip for 15 years, often in the AMI area, and this was our third stay at this home. Positives: Location! The dock is a highlight, we saw birds, dolphins, and manatees. Beach access is quick (5 minutes). The layout works very well: 8 bedrooms all with en-suite baths, and only two on the main floor so early sleepers aren’t disturbed. Seating is better than most homes of this size, and the kids’ room with four full beds is a big upgrade from typical setups. The pool area is also great, especially the afternoon shade.Negatives: Condition of the home continues to decline. Many of these issues we identified several years ago and took the time to send a list to the property manager. Not only were those items not addressed, but many have gotten worse.Several plumbing issues. Three of the showers had severely clogged drains (had to turn the water off to prevent overflowing). One shower faucet was already loose during our last visit and has now completely fallen off and two bathroom sinks have drains that will not open. There are also general maintenance and usability issues. The ceiling fan is unusable due to the noise. The patio furniture cushions, which were already showing wear 3 years ago, are now disgusting. Most of the beds are very uncomfortable and old. The oven was not working the entire duration of our stay and the grill only partially operable, with only some burners functioning, making it hard to prepare meals.BEWARE!!!
