"Excellent value for money hotel. Clean, tidy. Needs a bit of decorating here and there. We had a great breakfast and the dinner was lovely but felt it was a bit much asking for payment up front for the meal! (Yet you could pay for your drinks afterwards in the restaurant....???) Sounds like they dont trust anyone! Other than that, it would be nice to offer different pillow options. One was insufficient, two was too much. I had a stiff neck the following morning..despite it being a very comfortable bed. All in all, I would use again...despite these small niggles! "

"We had a lovely weekend break. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was great with a large steam room,sauna and good changing areas. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety and items you could order. The only issue we had was access to the ev chargers. The hotel did not know the cost of using the chargers, and from the app they did not seem to work. "

"Our second time at Macdonald hotel and spa at Botley Park. We only have one small complain when you have a shower in the bath, if you put our foot on the bath plug you cannot get the plug out and the bath fills up with water . Other than that it was rather enjoyable. The staff are friendly and accommodating."
