"Our family (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed there for a recent trip visiting friends in Powell River. The place was clean and had plenty of parking. The best features was the marina & ocean view from our room's balcony, and also how quiet and secluded the place felt vs other hotels in the hearth of the town center. Can't really comment on the amenities because we didn't use much of them. I thought the liquor store was quite nice with a great selection. I hear the distillery and restaurant are good as well but we didn't get a chance to use them."

The atmosphere at the 101 Bar + Grill is relaxed and friendly, with several craft beer selections on tap, excellent cocktails, great menu -- everything was fresh and delicious. The staff are exceptional, from Rich who greeted us upon our arrival to Crystal and the entire crew at the pub, thank you for the incredible service."

"The place was exactly as advertised… and more!From the minute we got there to the minute we left, it felt like home. It was especially delightful when the neighbour came over to invite us to pick luscious blackberries on their property. It was also cool to see the 3 deer hanging out in our yardSanjay was the most accommodating host you could ask for. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. With his help, and Christina’s (cleaner/property mgr), we had some minor repairs to our vehicle looked after, plus lots of in-site on places to see, etc.Great spot… highly recommended"

"The Rod has more character than anywhere else you will ever stay. The linens were all amazing, shower was wonderful, and it is super easy to get around if you have a car. Also had no problems with getting food delivered to my door. Found the fridge very useful as well as nice & cold!"

"We were absolutely thrilled with this property - especially the view of the ocean from and sunny (and very large!) deck. The suite was very clean and spacious, giving us lots of room to spread out for the 10 days we stayed. Other than a bit of confusion with how the door lock system worked, check-in was great and the host was very helpful. If you like to read in bed, the table lamp in one bedroom was a bit dim, and no table lamp in the other bedroom, but the comfy beds completely made up for it! The surroundings were very quiet with little traffic noise, and our hosts in the lower level were also very quiet. We missed the ocean view as soon as we left and would absolutely stay there again! Thank you to our hosts!!!"
