The location is in the heart of Brighton on a busy main street with lots of shops and restaurants. If you want to be where the action is.. this is it. However, contrary to the previous review we found the cleanliness poor, the window would not close allowing the cold night air in and street noise amplified. Food and cigarette left in kitchen. The light in the bathroom is not a switch but an unmarked string attached to a box, not a light, which didn’t pull. The sink plug did not open when pressed. Broken figurines on shelves. When arriving at night as we did, the directions for the lock box are irrelevant as the landmarks are at the back of the street which has no lighting. (In daylight landmarks make sense). And once you do figure out that the lock boxes are at the rear of the building, the box is not labeled as indicated. There must be over 15 boxes to choose from. You go by it’s the only black box. But once you figure that out, check in was a breeze. Contacted the host to say we were checking out due to conditions -he offered to send a cleaning crew. As I only had two days in Brighton I was not willing to wait around for something that should have been done prior to my stay. We left after 1 night. This location has good potential but it’s not there yet.
