A charming 3-storey coastal cottage in the heart of Rottingdean, just a 2-minute walk from the beach. Perfect for families or groups, the home offers 4 bedrooms, a cosy living space with an open fire, and a private enclosed garden with BBQ for outdoor dining. Ideally located close to local pubs, cafes, and shops, and just a short trip from Brighton, this is the perfect base for a relaxing seaside getaway.
Welcome to this spacious and characterful 3-storey stone cottage located in the centre of Rottingdean — an ideal coastal retreat for families and groups of friends.
Perfectly positioned just a 2-minute walk from the beach, you can enjoy scenic coastal walks, the undercliff path, or even cycle into Brighton. The cottage is also surrounded by local amenities, with shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants all within a short stroll.
The home is full of charm and offers a comfortable and well-equipped stay across three floors.
Kitchen: Fully equipped with an electric oven, ceramic induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine - everything you need for a self-catered stay.
Sitting & Dining Room: A cosy and inviting space featuring a large extendable dining table with seating for 6–8 guests, a comfortable 3-seater sofa, a snuggle chair, Smart TV, nest of tables, and an open fire - perfect for relaxing evenings.
Cellar: Accessed via a steep staircase, the cellar includes a washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience.
Bedrooms:
The property offers four bedrooms, comfortably sleeping families or groups:
Bedroom 1 (Top Floor): King-size bed, built-in wardrobes, chest of drawers. This is a mezzanine-style room with no door. Bedroom 2: King-size bed, bedside tables, built-in wardrobes, and a small desk. Bedroom 3: Single bed with an additional pull-out truckle bed, fitted cupboard, and tallboy storage. Bedroom 4: Double bed, low drawer unit, and bedside table.
Please note that access to Bedroom 4 is through Bedroom 1.
Bathroom:
The bathroom features a free-standing bath with overhead rainfall shower, a handheld shower attachment, wash basin, WC, and a heated towel rail.
A cot and high chair can be provided on request for an additional charge; guests must bring their own cot bedding.
Outdoor Space:
Enjoy the enclosed private garden, complete with a patio area, outdoor furniture, and a gas BBQ — perfect for al fresco dining and relaxing in the fresh sea air.
Parking: There is no private parking available with the cottage. Please do not park in Golden Square between Tesco and Lloyds Pharmacy, as this is for local private parking only.
The nearest car parks are:
Tesco (short stay) Marine Cliffs, approximately 200m up the hill towards Saltdean
At Marine Cliffs, you can:
Pay via the PayByPhone app Pay for up to 12 hours during the day (£6–£8) Park free overnight between 6pm and 9am
This is a very safe car park and is where we park when we stay.
You can also park on nearby roads such as Newlands Avenue in Rottingdean, where parking is generally safe.
Please note that the app may only show a shorter 4-hour option; however, you can pay for a full 12 hours using the machine (cash or card) or by phone.
Rottingdean can be very busy, especially in the summer, so we recommend using the frequent local buses where possible and leaving your car parked.

Dog Policy for Guests
We welcome well-behaved dogs at our property and want all our guests—both human and canine—to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. To help maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment, please follow the guidelines below:
Supervision & Control Dogs must be supervised and under control at all times. Whether on a leash outdoors or inside the unit, pets should never be left unattended or allowed to disturb other guests.
Clean-Up Responsibility All dog waste must be picked up immediately and disposed of properly.
Please carry waste bags when walking your dog.
Securely tie used bags and place them in the designated outdoor bins.
Failure to clean up after your dog may result in a cleaning fee or other penalties.
No Dogs on Furniture Dogs are not allowed on any furniture, including beds, sofas, and chairs. Please bring your own pet bedding or use designated dog blankets if provided.
Respect Shared and Outdoor Spaces Dogs must be kept off any shared furniture or amenities and should not be allowed to dig, damage plants, or disturb landscaping.
Noise Consideration Please be mindful of barking or other noise that could disturb nearby guests. If your dog becomes noisy, we ask that you address it promptly.

Location Rottingdean is a picturesque seaside village just 4 miles from Brighton. Enjoy beautiful cliff-top walks, visit the historic windmill on Beacon Hill, or explore The Grange with its art gallery and museum. Brighton is just a short drive or bus ride away, offering vibrant nightlife, shopping, dining, and cultural attractions.
Guests have full use of the entire property with private entrance.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
