The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"My daughter and I stayed in the Orme lodge, it was lovely. Nice and warm, squirrels outside the windows. Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc on. wifi connection great. "We booked a room with an accessible bathroom for two nights. There was no shower curtain when we arrived and we were told that ours was sent out for cleaning. Same story the second night and only offered us extra bath rugs to help sop up the excess water from the bathroom floor. They did not offer to allow us to shower in the hotel spa, but agreed only after we asked. There were hundreds of dead bugs on the window sill, which the housekeeper came up to remove. In the middle of the room there was a hole in the carpet. This was a very expensive hotel and spa that fell far below expectations and not worth the cost in our opinion."
