It did mean we were later checking in though. It was suggested that the problems were the fault if Hotels. "The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"Room was tidy and clean. Staff were helpful when I put the wrong car reg in. Lots of space in the accessible room for someone who is severely visually impaired and a baby. Parking is easy to find and a petrol station with Starbucks, Greg's and Asda service is right next door. Conveniently situated near the main road."

"An amazing hotel .We have stayed here before and everything about the hotel is amazing.
I used the swimming pool,the jacuzzi,had breakfast which was a help yourself full English,cereals,fruit ,yoghurt toast.
The bar was reasonably priced and the staff where outstanding.
May stay again in the future for 3rd time ."

"Excellent breakfast. Good location for a short stroll into Chester centre. BUT too noisy. At side of a busy railway line, lots of other noises from racecourse equipment. Had to keep windows open to keep cool but then couldn’t sleep because of noise."
