"We loved our night at Captain Cove. It was so nostalgic of my family road trips as a kid. Yes, it's very 80's Roadside Motel inside the rooms, but they are clean and comfortable. The staff was so nice and my kids LOVED the pool. Quick walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants around. You can also grill in their adorable courtyard. Would definitely go back!"

"Charming house, right on the beach. Excellent location, close to all that Oak Island has to offer…summer concerts in the park a short walk away, the pier, many restaurants, marsh walks/fishing. Groceries about a 3 minute drive. Highly recco making the short drive to Southport, great food and views. Overall great stay. Owner was very responsive. Highly recommend for a wonderful, laid back beach vacation. "

"For an older property the rooms were well cleaned and nice, could be a bit more soundproof. Very friendly atmosphere from the office staff and the other guests. Very short walk to the beach, pool was great and area was clean. It was really nice to be able to continue using the parking lot, pool, pier and bathroom they provide after checkout. Would definitely stay there again! "

"Great location on very quiet street. Gorgeous views off the deck and from the private pier that goes 600’ out into the bay. House was very clean and well supplied. Everything is as described. The host Iriene is very responsive and super friendly she had treats and toys waiting for our dachshunds when we arrived!!! Restaurants and stores are all nearby and the beach is a short walk away. The town of Southport is 20 minutes away for more nice shops and restaurants as well definitely worth a visit. Very highly recommend and will definitely stay again. Jon & Kim"

"This is our 2nd year staying at this cottage. We love the easy access to the beach right off the back deck. The views are gorgeous from inside the home and from the deck. The interior is very colorful and welcoming. We love Holden Beach and we plan to go back again next year and stay in this home once again."
