Nice little cabin with an amazing view!

Overall, this was a great cabin. The Positives: AMAZING VIEW! Honestly, I don't think you could get a much better view from any cabin. It overlooks a lake and mountain range with no other roads or views in site. The cabin was very clean and only about 13 mins from Bryson City. Down the road there is a nice little resort restaurant and outdoor bar. There is also rafting, tubing, kayaking, etc all SUPER close by. The only parts I didn't really care for was the upstairs room did not get a lot of air so was a little warm (unusually warm when were there for July 4th weekend). The couches in the living room were kind of strange and not real comfortable, but we spent most of our time on the porch looking at the amazing views. If you care about wifi, there was none that we saw, but honestly, we were there to get away and had cell reception so that was fine. There was a cabin basically on the same property which I didn't realize, it is facing away from your outdoor porch, so it feels private, but I did not realize that when I booked the cabin if you are looking for ultra privacy. The road up is a bit steep and one lane, so if it was icy out and you aren't real used to mountain driving, it might be challenging. Overall, it was a great price for a great cabin, so if we ever go back to Bryson City, I would be likely to rebook it.

Great view and convention location right off the road. It was quiet with an easy check-in and check-out process. There was a gate (not automatic so had to get out each time) that wasn’t previously mentioned & the code was hard to move. Also as other reviews mentioned, there’s another house RIGHT next door. It was empty during our stay, but listing doesn’t accurately portray this. Other small things that stood out during our stay — no wifi/cable, blinds in downstairs bath didn’t close (no privacy if house next door was occupied), upstairs shower barely drained, stains on couch/pillows, hair on bedsheets, disposal smelled bad & attracted fruit flies. We only stayed for 2 nights, so overall it was fine for what we needed.

Had a FANTASTIC stay overall at this location, we didn't want to leave! Check in/out was easy, the views were AMAZING, the cabin was cozy and had everything we needed for our stay, was very clean (minus the handful of stink bugs, but they are everywhere right now), and super quiet!!Note- This seems to be a guest house to another main house, luckily no one was in the main house during our stay, so we had the property to ourselves. -No WIFI, but cell service is strong. -Couches downstairs were futons, we were comfortable on them. Plenty of extra sheets/towels/blankets in the cabinets upstairs. - Kitchen- No oven, but there was a toaster oven, a hot top, and Mr. Coffee maker with plenty of filters. The kitchen had utensils, plates, cups/mugs, pepper/sugar/seasoning salt, and a Brita Filtered pitcher.-Bathrooms- upstairs shower didn't drain well, so we used the shower downstairs, which was pretty cool (see photo). Well stocked with towels, some toiletries, VERY clean, water pressure was good, and toilets flushed great.-Definitely recommend a 4x4 to get up the hill to the house. You blink and you will miss the gate the first go around, so plan ahead on visuals on Google Maps and go slow when coming up on it. Luckily there are safe turn arounds close to the property.-It was 3 min from the NOC that had a great restaurant and about 15 min from Bryson City.Overall, this place was FANTASTIC!! Highly recommend!
