The Cherokee Indian Reservation is located about 45 minutes away, where you can find the entrance to the National Park and Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Also located in a 45 minute drive is the Nantahala River Gorge where you can find whitewater rafting, kayaking, and zip-lines.
