Time Flies is so close to town but feels remote! Experience the best of both worlds here. This "Mountain Modern" house is tucked away on the banks of the Tuckasegee River with a dirt road and the Smoky Mountain Railroad fronting the property. Guests enjoy watching the tourist train pass by, especially in November and December when it's decorated for the Polar Express! Old River road is also a great resource offering prime river access or take a leisure walk down the long dirt road. The house is also only about a mile away from Deep Creek, which is park of The Smoky Mountains National Park.
Getting around: Driving is our recommendation. Biking and walking to town are options. Be aware that there are not sidewalks between the house and town. However, people do walk this section along the side of the road. Traffic can be heavy along this stretch of road and the side of the road isn't well maintained.
1. There is gravel parking for two Standard sized car. One beside of the house and one in front of the house. No trailers allowed. 2. We do allow dogs for a fee. 2 dogs up to 50lbs each maximum. Please read and adhere to our pet rules while staying in our house. Once you add your dog(s) to the guest count, the pet fee will be displayed in the summary of charges. We have strick pet rules: No dogs on the furniture/bed(s) for any reason. No dogs running loose on our property. Pickup dog waste. Hair found on furniture or in linens will incur an addition charge beyond the pet fee. 3. The house has a full kitchen and almost everything you would need to prepare any meal. However, the kitchen is not stocked with condiments or supplies with the exception of a few spices and salt and pepper. 4. The sofa converts into a sleeper. It works well for 2 children or 1 adult. 5. There are two other vacation rental dwellings on this property. Each house has its own private outdoor space. 6. The Great Smoky Mountains railway runs in front of the property. This is a scenic tourist train that runs during the day/evening/early night and is a big reason why people visit Bryson City. It does not run during the night when people generally are sleeping.

Great location, out of the way but close to town. Loved the view of the river and hills from the property. House was very clean and comfortable, a great place to stay. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to family and friends.
The cabin was in a very nice little area by the river with easy access to the town. It had all amenities and comforts. Host communication was great. Would stay here again!
We loved this cabin, its amenities, and the view of the river! Everything was just as pictured or better. It was perfect for the two of us. We look forward to returning soon, perhaps in the Spring.

Had a great weekend ,freshly painted very clean.Loved the hot tub
The house was beautifully decorated and the perfect size for a family of three. We actually enjoyed the train going right by (many smiles and waves exchanged!); it did not run at night. Extra perk was the hot tub and ease of accessing a delightful town and restaurants. Would stay again!
We enjoyed the long weekend in Bryson City! There’s so much to do and see especially if you love the outdoors as much as we do! This home was exceptionally clean, well stocked kitchen, and in a perfect location! We enjoyed using the hot tub and the fire pit which were both very well taken care of! The location of the home is just outside of the downtown area so that was wonderful! Although this is a shared lot, we felt as if we had our own space and plenty of privacy. We will definitely be back!
The size of the home was perfect for the two of us. Great proximity to town and Deep Creek trails and waterfalls. Used the fit pit three nights. A bit too warm for the hot tub. Covered front porch really nice for evening cocktails.Wish the river view less obstructed. Suggest an upgrade to fire pit chairs.
Time Flies a quaint almost tiny house, we'd love to return to. Even as adults, when we hear the SMRR train horn blow into the evening air, one cannot help but smile with delight and try to catch a glimpse! Communication was prompt with our hosts and any questions or concerns were answered thoughtfully. Our space was clean and stocked with the necessary kitchen items. All in all a great value for proximity, yet rustic and rural atmosphere in Bryson City.
We just wanted to get away for an evening and this place was everything we wanted! House was immaculate and just as advertised. Beautiful views of the river/sunset. Crossing the rail road tracks was a fun way to get onto the site. The only slight complaint we had was the bed wasn’t the comfiest. Kept hitting our shins on the frame itself because it sticks out a bit. Otherwise, was fantastic. Will only be staying here when we come to Bryson City!
We traveled to Bryson City for a Gospel Music event over the July 4 weekend. It was our first time here and we searched quite a bit to find a property we liked.
This little house is a gem. The owners have really done a remarkable job utilizing a small space beside the river and railroad track.
The property was as described in the listing. Everything was very clean and provided a comfortable stay. There was an electrical problem with the hot tub while we were there and the owners communicated well with us.
One little quirk of this property is how you get to it. We got lost the first time. You've basically got to drive up a ditch bank and cross a railroad track without a crossing. It's o.k. after you get used to it, but is a little sketchy at first!
This is the cutest house. The location is perfect to visit the little town. Shower was strong, hot tub was warm, beds were comfortable and the view was so peaceful.
It was tbe perfect stay for a quick visit to the Polar Express! Easy check-in process and the home was just as described. We didn't stay long enough to use the kitchen or hot tub, but I wish we had. It is the cutest place on the river and with plenty of privacy! We would definitely stay again if we make our way back up to this area!
You feel like you’re in a secluded spot, but it’s just a short walk into town to nearby restaurants, shops and train depot. The house was well stocked, cozy and the perfect size!
We really enjoyed our stay at Time Flies on the River. Our visit to Bryson City was brief, but the home fit our needs. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The entire process from check in to check out was very easy. The home's location is ideally located very close to the downtown area. Would definitely stay at the home again when visiting the area.
