"Super cozy chalet. Double wrap around porches. Very accommodating hosts. Everything you need is there. Fun reading nook in dining room where I was parked the whole time. Had a great family reunion and we all enjoyed The Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. It rained and was nice and cool so we were snugged in. Kitchen is great. Beds were comfy. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. My dad is in active cancer treatment so it was a really nice time for him to be with family. We will stay again when we have plans for the mountains. Nearby towns are quaint and fun. Thank you Liz for helping us out when we needed you. It was lovely."

"There's nothing wrong with this place. The bathrooms have been re done and the mattress's are new and memory foam, very nice. We're in our middle 60's and don't have a problem with the stairs. You'll get your heart rate up a bit while unloading and loading. We don't mind because you need the exercise to counter act all the food you eat on vacation. If you have a problem with a few stairs I don't know why you're up on Beech Mountain in the first place. Everybody complains but doesn't mention that it's the cheapest two bedroom in the area that isn't a condo with people all around you. People talk about cleanliness. I can only imagine the difficulty finding quality housekeepers in this part of the country. The beating one's vehicle takes just driving up, down and around a beast like Beech has got to drive up maintenance and repair costs considerably."
