Great Location but bad check in

The location was great and very easy to get to with public transportation. However, for checking in, I was told I was going to get information on how to get into the apartment between 12:00-14:00 on the day of and didn’t hear anything from the host until 16:00. We ended up sitting outside the apartment because we couldn’t do anything with all of our stuff. Also there were no checkout instructions communicated.
