Clean, tidy and compact with all amenities taken care of
We had a lovely stay and found the accommodation comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly and the cream tea on arrival was a very welcome treat!

Great stay
Closy accommodation, perfect for family and dogs set in a beautiful valley location. Quiet, away from roads and a gentle 20 minute wooded walk into the Haven. Just what we wanted.

Wonderful week
We all had a wonderful stay and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Very nice location with plenty of areas to stretch your legs, walking through the woods and meadows. The beach is a short car drive away, you can also walk to the beach if feeling energetic. The cottage had everything you would need for the family

A great place to retreat
I've just returned from a weekend stay. The cottage was comfortable and spotlessly clean and a perfect location for walking the many public footpaths around the area. Lots of woodland walks as well as coastal paths. I didn't expect anything else but rain in November so went well equipped with my wellies. I will definitely be returning, perhaps in the spring or summer when the trees and hedgerows are in full bloom. A really beautiful place to stay and certainly deserves 5 stars

Fabulous!
Our stay in Parada Cottage was fabulous. The cottage was well equipped, right down to the corkscrew! The beds were really comfortable and the cream tea waiting for us on arrival very welcome after the drive down. The location is absolutely fabulous, my grandson Ben loved going to the stream with his fishing net, and Hetty the chocolate Labrador was in heaven running in the field. We visited Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac and Widemouth Bay, all easy to get to but our favourite was the beach at Crackington Haven. As it was October dogs were allowed on the beach so the dog and the boys were in their element. I thoroughly recommend Mineshop Cottages and look forward to visiting again.
Our usual summer holiday was cancelled due to Covid, so booked this 6 weeks beforehand with no real expectations other than getting away and having a change of scenery. Turned out to be a fantastic decision. Close to lots of different beaches, kids loved jumping in the waves/body boarding, etc. some lovely villages very close by (Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac), everything you need supermarket wise in Bude, lovely walk down to the local beach a few times (could be a bit of a slog for younger kids carrying all your beach gear), nice little veranda to sit outside at night and have a glass of wine...just amazing, totally sold, wish we could have stayed another week. Ben super friendly too.
Such a good location for exploring this area of Cornwall. A pleasant walk to the beach and pub (very good food). We were welcomed with a cream tea with freshly cooked scones. The owners are happy to help with anything that is needed. We thoroughly recommend these cottages - and hope to return.
We had a lovely time at Mineshop. The cottages are in a beautifully quiet location yet just a 30 stroll through picturesque walking paths to the beach at Crackington Haven. Would defiantly love to stay here again.
Great location to explore the surrounding north Cornwall coast. Accommodation was perfect for a family of 4 with a well stocked kitchen and the property is well maintained by the owners. Pack your wellies to enjoy the many walks by the river and surrounding areas.
We had a wonderful stay at Mineshop. The location is perfect - a beautiful, relaxing valley with rolling fields and a stream running through, just a stroll from Crackington Haven, which is a great little corner away from the crowds.
The cottage was cosy, spotless and thoughtfully equipped. Jess and Ben couldn´t have been friendlier or more helpful. Strongly recommended for a family holiday or break in the countryside.
Thank you for everything.

Lovely secluded and quiet spot. Cosy and comfortable cottage.
Really enjoyed our holiday. Property was small but well designed and, though one of row of five, was masked from the others by trees etc so felt secluded and private. Excellent for dog owners like us with woods and fields adjacent. As the bedrooms are small and the double has no space for a wardrobe, perhaps a hook or two behind the door would be helpful. Likewise in the bathroom. Phone signal and internet was dodgy but we were in a valley so only to be expected. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, and the cream tea on arrival was a nice added bonus! We’ll certainly go again.

Lovely
Very enjoyable stay in this charming rural idyll a walking distance to the beach and stunning coastal path. Ben could not have been more helpful - very kindly advising me on all the best beaches for swimming and waving away a glass I had accidentally broken (where other places would probably charge). A friendly, yet unobtrusive atmosphere. Would definitely recommend as a base for anyone wanting to explore this beautiful part of the country.

Great location
We had a lovely break in this peaceful location..
It was difficult to find in the dark and instructions to find were a little misleading..
They have an intermittent WiFi which cannot support even browsing weather sometimes which is frustrating since we neede to keep in contact with our kids whilst away and there is zero phone signal for many networks..

Coastal escape hidden in a lush valley
We arrived on Good Friday in much need of a relaxing break away from the city, commuting, crowds and work stresses. We found what we were looking for in Parada Cottage from the homemade scones, cream and jam and pint of milk awaiting us on our arrival to the luxury of waking up and hearing only birds singing their morning chorus! Amazingly, we had six days of glorious sun and blue skies and only one day of cloud - all pretty good for mid April. The cottage was very clean and well stocked and the only improvement would be to possibly provide a couple of lamps so that it would feel cosier in the evenings. Thank you for a great holiday!

Family break with the hound!
We first stayed in Mineshop Holiday Cottages in 2012 and have returned every summer since. We have two children currently aged 9 and 6 who enjoy the freedom of the meadows and the stream with Fifi our hound.
We love wondering through the valley to the beach, finding shells and sea glass and catching (or trying to!) fish and crabs in the rockpools. The Coombe Barton Inn overlooks the sea and serves lovely food and real ale which my husband loves!
The accomodation is always clean, well equipped and due it the location the balcony is such a sun trap. We enjoy sitting outside listening to the birds whilst watching the children (and the hound) play football in the meadow.
We can't recommend Mineshop Holiday Cottages highly enough to anyone of any age; it is refreshing to take time out from the everyday hustle and bustle to spend time as a family and relax.
