"Located right beside the freeway, this is an older hotel. Despite that, the facilities were good, including a decent breakfast, and the staff were terrific. We had to get more plastic glasses from reception, (I’m not a big fan of plastic glasses in a room), but the staff were great at providing anything we asked for."
"The street that our GPS told us to turn on is not marked with a street sign so we drove past it the first time. The hotel was clean and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. I know it was a budget room but it would have been nice to have a full length mirror by the door so we could make sure everything was ok before we went out to our event. I chose this hotel because the reviews said the beds and pillows were very comfortable. I found the beds to be a bit too firm for my arthritic joints. I had to keep turning from side to side because my hips, knees, shoulder hurt. Free parking was definite a bonus. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would stay here again."

"Lovely hotel within walking distance to downtown. Beautiful pool and hot tub next to Spa. Friendly, helpful staff. Gorgeous, bright dining room looking out to park. Convenient to have buffet breakfast available for $. Suggestion to have labels for breakfast items..eg Decaf vs non-decaf coffees. Great stay!!"

Exclusive Lakefront Cottage on Big Rideau Lake – Private Dock, Sauna, & Sunset
8/10 Good
"Overall, we had a good stay and there were several things we really enjoyed about this property. The location and scenery were beautiful, and there was plenty of room for everyone in our group to spread out comfortably. Communication with the host was timely and helpful. We did have an issue with the water pressure and water running out before even a quick shower. Owner did reach out but we were super busy with wedding prep and wedding to keep communicating with owner about problem. Check-in and check-out were very easy. We also appreciated having two refrigerators, which made storing food and drinks for a larger group much more convenient. Access to the pots and pans was challenging especially in the corner cabinet. In addition, the property was not as clean as we expected which was mentioned in several reviews. Know feedback from owners said one person did cleaning. With such a big house may need 2 cleaners. Finally, guests should be aware that there are quite a few steps leading down to the cottage, which may be difficult for some people. Went back and read description and could not find that info. While the property has great potential because of its location, size, and responsive host, improvements to cleanliness and water pressure would significantly enhance the guest experience"
"My wife and I stayed here for 5 days with our dog. The place is as described. The views from the cottage are amazing. The water was warm and we made good use of the peddle boat and splash pad. I would say the cottage is more meant for 2 people as there is not a ton of space for belongings. The cottage itself is well equipped with pretty much everything you need and the washer dryer are a definite bonus if your staying for a long trip. There is a Webber grill and a nice little fire pit. We used the peddle boat to go fishing on days where the water was calm. We caught large and small mouth bass, pike, perch and a ton of rock bass and bluegill on worms. If you plan on swimming a would suggest using water shoes. There are quite a few stairs leading down to a floating dock so becareful on the last step as the dock moves when you step on it, however we got use to it quickly. The area was quiet and private and we really only saw the neighbors once while swimming. The TV is on a pull out swivel so you can face it towards the couch. Overall this is a fantastic little cottage nestled in the woods. I would definitely stay again. We both loved it!"
