We had a small family getaway to celebrate my parent's 50th anniversary and loved the beautiful cabin, ponds, and trails. The close proximity to Mohican state park was also great.
We loved the property. Cabin very clean and well stocked. No need to bring extra anything! We loved spending time down at the pond fishing and watching the fish.
I booked this for my moms 60th birthday with my aunts and cousins. It was so great! We hiked the trails on the property around the ponds and through the woods, my cousins enjoyed some catch and release fishing, and we had ping pong tournaments too! We also did a fun tubing trip as well. Overall, it was a fantastic stay with a lot to do!
This cabin is just beautiful inside and out!! The place was clean, with comfortable furniture and kitchen. The kids who are all teenagers tried fishing in the pond , which was right beside the house , but it was a bit chilly for the fish to be biting. We all walked some trails which were easy to follow. The kids enjoyed ping pong also
This property was the perfect place to unwind and relax for our much needed family get-a-way. We were completely taken back with just how gorgeous this property is!! Not to mention all the outdoor activities we enjoyed, the game room, watching the deer (along with a fawn), fishing and the big hit was cooling off and playing in the pond. The only downfall was, we only booked for 2 nights. Future trips will not be so short!! Thank you for allowing us to experience this beautiful property!!
The cabin was the perfect location for my family to celebrate my brother’s 63 rd birthday and Father’s Day for our dad! The property is so peaceful and beautiful! We loved the location! The cabin comfortably accommodated our group of 5 and had everything we needed to cook our meals, enjoy the fire pit, fish and just relax! The front pond has big bass and the back pond has bass, crappie, blue gill and large carp! We loved fishing off our raft or on the banks of the pond!! We look forward to booking Frog Water Cabin again!
The property was perfect for a family weekend getaway with our adult kids. Sleeping situation provided everyone privacy, the kitchen was well equipped for making meals, and we could spread out or gather together in the multiple living spaces, including the screened porch which we loved. A large variety of games to play and a bluetooth speaker for streaming music made for great relaxing mornings and evenings. The weather was perfect so made the very short drive to Mohican state park for hiking and also explored the trails on the property. The property was clean and comfortable. We would definitely return.
Property is as listed. Very quiet. Plenty to do on property. Two ponds to fish in. Yard games, table games, ping pong. Hiking trails. Cabin had all the amenities and more. Kitchen had enough pots and pans to feed an army. Close to other hiking areas and other places to go. Shopping at a Walmart 15 minutes away in case you forgot anything.
I recently stayed here with a group of 9 guys and couldn't have had a better stay. We've been to some pretty cool rentals as a group, but we all agreed this was easily the best! From the cabin itself, to the fishing lake where we caught bass and panfish, to the bonfire pit up the hill, to the screened-in porch, we kept saying how incredible the place was. We stayed in late July, and even with daytime temps around 90, the cabin felt great with some fans and open windows, even without air conditioning.
The cabin is located near a lot of places to get out and enjoy the area as well. We rented a boat 12 minutes away at nearby Pleasant Hill Lake.
From checkin to checkout everything was easy and made the weekend enjoyable. We'll definitely be back for another stay, and hopefully soon!
The house was clean, cozy, and spacious. The property is large with several well maintained trails for exploring. Even if you get stuck inside, there are a ton of board games, puzzels, and a ping pong table to keep you entertained. There are several large televisions as well, but I appreciated that there was no television in the main seating area where the kitchen is; it was nice to be able to focus on people rather than a screen. Honestly, if you bring food with you there is no reason to leave the property, they have anything else you could need for a great time. If booking for a larger group, I would double check if the house can accommodate however many you have. The property manager told me there was a guest limit of 5, but it's listed to sleep 12, and just from being there looks like 9 would be comfortable. It was not an issue for our small group, but again if booking for a bigger group, double check to be safe. I would certainly stay here again and honestly felt lucky to have had spent time in such a well maintained place.
The cabin was super cute and clean. The beds were very comfortable with nice bedding, we all commented on it after our first night. We ate all our meals at the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. My brother kept the fireplace going and the 6 adults spent the weekend infront of the fire, visiting and playing games.
The cabin has a beautiful view looking out over the pond and into the woods. Very private. Cute screened in porch. Lots of trails through the woods that we enjoyed exploring.
We had 4 teenage cousins that took over the basement. They played a ton of ping-pong and board games that were provided and watched movies on the big screen TV. We basically didnt see them until we left.
We left only once and that was to go to Snow Trails. It was about 15 -20 minute drive with all the twists, turns and hills. Beautiful country!
Absolutely would recommend staying here! If we are ever back in the neighborhood, we will definitely look for availability!!
The hosts were great, easy to reach and very willing to make sure we had everything we needed for the stay. The property itself is fantastic, the cabin is beautiful, well laid out with plenty of room for our four families. The property is great, two ponds for fishing, actually caught some fish. Plenty of trail cut throughout the property and room for the kids to play football or whiffle ball.
Everything was wonderful. Stocked kitchen and lots of games and puzzles already there. Very clean. Did some hiking too. Host responded quickly to messages when we had questions.
We had an awesome stay here with our family from Ohio, Michigan, and Maryland! Perfect gathering place and the house was beautiful. We would all love to return one day if we can.
