About this property

2 Bed in Buxton (oc-76505)

  • Located midway between Buxton and Bakewell, this spot makes a perfect base from which to explore the two towns and surrounding areas. There are many excellent picturesque walks from the doorstep, nearby Monsal Dale, with its famous trail, Millers Dale and High Dale, only a short walk away. Walkers can enjoy spectacular views and the opportunity to observe an abundance of wildflowers, animals and birdlife. For those seeking the grandeur of the English country houses, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are just a short drive from the property, make sure you stop and visit the popular Chatsworth Farm Shop and stock up on goodies.

Step into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and you will see this stone-built cottage has retained its original charm with all the comforts we need for a contemporary day to day life. The kitchen area offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. Enjoy taking your time over breakfast at the nearby dining table or relax and pop your feet up in the lounge area, with comfy sofa, light the wood burner and curl up in front of the Smart TV, watch one of the DVDs provided or read one of the books. Heading up the open metal staircase to the first floor, the master bedroom offers a king-size bed with Emma memory foam pillows and a TV/DVD, a perfect excuse for a long lay in. The nearby second bedroom offers a single bed. Get ready for the day ahead in the wet room with shower, WC and non-slip flooring.

Outside the split level enclosed courtyard garden is an ideal place to relax, there is a picnic bench on the sunken level which is perfect for dining alfresco in the summer sun. Accessed by a small number of steps there is a higher level with a bench, a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee. There is an off-road parking space directly in front of the cottage and additional roadside parking if needed on the nearby lane, subject to availability.
