"This hotel is in an excellent location- I walked everywhere from here. There was a strike so no housekeeping unless you asked for it. The front desk staff were so nice but could have been better informed as concierges. The breakfast is a huge and wonderful buffet and certainly a good reason to stay here. I’d stay at this hotel again."

"Cheap and not particularly cheerful. The staff were not overly helpful and treated your presence as more of an inconvenience rather than something they were paid to do. The room was a decent size for two people. The bed is comfortable but you only get 1 pillow. When we asked for another there was only 1 left so we used one of the single duvets as a pillow instead. The rooftop is nice and in the summer will be a lovely spot to enjoy the city views. The location is excellent, right in the centre and walking distance to everything you may need. The WiFi is very good and can stream on multiple devices without issue. Check out is at 12:00, however they are changing this to 11:00 at the end of June, presumably to make money. They also only do cleaning every 4th day, again, presumably to save money. It looks cheap, it feels cheap, and the staff are average. Good news is, it is cheap relative to Oslo. Bad news is thats not enough of a reason to make me return next time I’m in the city."

"I stayed at Thon Hotel Terminus and, unfortunately, it was a poor experience overall despite some positives. The staff were pleasant and helpful, which I appreciated. I also chose this hotel for its proximity to the train station, though it still ended up being a bit of a walk — especially when traveling with luggage. The room itself was quite small, but my main concern was the door locking system. When you close the door, it doesn’t automatically lock; you have to scan your room key. At night, I tried to lock it from the inside as instructed on the door, but it didn’t seem to work. The door still appeared to be unlocked or could be opened from the outside. This made me feel very uneasy and affected my sense of safety. I was too tired to call for assistance, so I ended up placing a chair in front of the door. Unfortunately, I didn’t get much sleep because of this. Breakfast was okay, but I’ve definitely had better. Overall, while the staff were kind, the safety concern and overall comfort made this stay disappointing."

"We opted for the smaller sized rooms mainly because it was the cheaper option. The room was very clean and it was completely adequate for what we needed. Slight downside to the smaller room was there wasn’t a table or anywhere to put anything. We made it work, but for some, this could be problematic. The pressure of the water in the shower was pretty decent. They aren’t offering cleaning services for short stays currently, but if you need anything, the staff would be able to help you out. Despite the hotel have some members of staff on strike (mainly housekeeping and restaurant staff), the rest of the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Location of the hotel was fantastic. Everything is practically on your doorstep! Oslo itself isn’t very big and we managed to walk to everything. For others, the bus stop/tram stop is easily accessible and just up the street from the hotel. The bus terminus and train station are about a ten minutes walk away. The room didn’t come with tea/coffee making facilities but after reading somebody else’s review, the reception staff provided us with a kettle, no problem. Breakfast had a lovely variety of options which would suit most people. There was even a gluten free section, away from the other foods meaning they catered for people with dietary issues. Overall, the hotel had what we needed and was clean. Friendly staff, from reception to the restaurant staff. Lovely hotel."
