Hyatt Grand Central New York

10/10 Excellent

"the room was clean, the shower smelled a little initially but it was most likely because it had not been used in a while. By the next day it was good ( no longer smelled). All the staff was very friendly, housekeeping also very friendly and efficient. It was an excellent experience and the hotel is in the perfect location for tourists. With the train station right next door and many attractions and restaurants just a few minutes walk away, it was excellent place to be!"

"The Sixty LES is the best of the best in NYC. I’ve stayed at over 10 different high end hotels in NYC and they are easily the best. I had the pleasure of staying there for 8 nights recently and my stay was flawless. The entire staff from the front desk, housekeeping and maintenance(that I’d see in the elevator on occasion) were all so polite, professional and accommodating. A staff like that is usually a direct result of great management, they must have one of the best managers in the industry. The location is also a great feature, so much to see and do within walking distance. The hotel also has one of the best roof top pool’s in the city. I’ve read some complaints in the reviews about the loud music coming from the night club in the hotel. I’m not sure what floor the club is on, but our room was on the 8th floor and we never heard a sound from the club. We are done dealing with all of the craziness that comes with staying at hotels in midtown and look forward to our next stay at the Sixty LES. Thank you, to the entire staff at the Sixty Les. Hotel Indigo Lower East Side New York by IHG

2/10 Terrible

"The hotel’s priority seems to be the club upstairs and after a certain hour in the afternoon they dedicate 3 of the 4 elevators for those patrons and hotel guest are left with only one elevator to access, so a longer wait..The elevators themselves have night club lighting so the numbers are very difficult to see which creates a scramble because once you clear your key on the lock pad, you have to quickly find your floor number which requires your phone flashlight. Comical really. They had Bigalow products, which I love, but my lotion was empty, so that was a bummer. TV did not have access to my subscriptions, which most do now, and I was planning to watch the last episode of a favorite series, which was not possible. Location great, not a warm feeling from the staff, cleaners did a fine job."

The Ridge Hotel

"Second time staying at the Ridge Hotel in the L.E.S. My girlfriend & I really enjoyed it the first time we stayed so figured, why not book again? It is definitely prime real estate location wise. We love the rooftop amenities as well & the staff we encounter is always friendly. Though unfortunately on this visit our Air Conditioning did not work and our thermostat did not reach below under 80 degrees (83 at it’s warmest) when it wasn’t even that warm outside on any of the days we were booked. We had it set to cool and no matter what it never did. Waking up sweating & getting out of the shower to start sweating also is not something fun whatsoever. Definitely the reason I would dock them down for this visit."
