Good place to stay on the outskirts of the CBD. Ocean view with balcony. The bathroom configuration was a little weird, but overall the apartment is clean and spacious.

The hotel is older, but clean and nice. We had a great view from our room. It is also very walkable to the marina and many restaurants/shops. Muddy’s across the street has the best breakfast and 10/10 recommend!

Sheree and Liv were super helpful during our stay answering all our questions on arrival in Cairns. The property is quiet but just across from the beachfront boardwalk. Great breakfast place across the street. Large rooms, pool - all nice!

Loved the spacious clean rooms and balcony space. Bit disappointed in the sea view we thought we were getting as too many trees in the way and it was a sea glimpse. Higher levels would get better views. Loved being in walking distance to everything we needed.Friendly staff who smiled and spoke whenever we went in and out.

Stayed 5 nights in mid-October, queen balcony. Location is very good, just on the edge of the busy area. Request at least floor 5 or 6 (top) for an ocean view as 4 is partially blocked by trees. Kettle and refrigerator in room, no coffee maker. Plates, cups and bowls require hand wash. On site laundry. Overall - great value, clean and quiet

Excellent room with a beautiful view, great location to walk everywhere. The only issue which was constant that the wifi was not working properly in our room, we constantly were kicked off of it and no fix was offered, even though I identified this issue right away, it’s a shame as otherwise this is a perfect hotel.

We only stayed one night but it was perfect. Clean room, sheets & bathroom. Super spacious balcony to watch the sunrise. Walking distance to town, the beach and the Marina. We arrived late, it was great knowing that they have someone to help at the front desk 24/7. Would definitely stay there again :).

Shampoo/conditioner (combined) and body wash included, which was nice. Property was gorgeous and super clean. Great location. Staff are on-site 24/7! Muddy’s across the street was fantastic, and we saw numerous flying foxes feasting on fruits on the street outside! We loved staying here in the quieter part of Cairns. (:

Nice and central, clean and friendly reception. We stayed here (mum and 12yo daughter) for 3 nights and felt safe. The hotel is older but it is clean and comfortable. Would absolutely stay again.

Cairns Plaza is a clean, simple hotel with great views and a very helpful staff. We stayed in a suite, so the living room, kitchen supplies (fridge, utensils/plates and microwave) and separate bedroom made things so easy and comfortable. They have coin-op laundry facilities on-site, which was helpful as this was the second stop on a two-week trip for us. There is a great cafe (Muddy’s Cafe) across the street in the park that offers a 10% discount to hotel guests. It was delicious. The hotel is right along the esplanade, so an easy walk to many restaurants and shops. The hotel isn’t fancy (no fitness center, on-site resturant, etc.) , but it has every thing you need for a really pleasant stay. We’d stay here again for sure!

It's a good place for very short term stay (eg overnight). The place is a little dated and some things were not built / designed well. But it does the job. e.g. the sink doesn't have the best drainage and the shower doesn't have exhaust. The bathroom wooden panels are all soaking in moisture. The place seem obsessed warning people about smoking - which is good for non-smokers. I'd recommend staying here one (or max two) nights. It is also a few blocks away from where all activities are in the city centre.
