Location is good, but the hotel needs a serious upgrade. Sad to see the front lobby area looking so shabby. Rooms are dated. Pool area looks like it was recently done is nice. Would not book it again if it remains in the current state.

The room had lots of space, which was excellent for relaxing, and the bed was very comfortable. The room fan controls appeared to not be working - either on or off - and it was very loud, which wasn't great. The aircon was old and noisy, but did the trick.

Property was OK overall. Lots of construction currently so dirty and noisy. People above us were moving furniture all night two nights in a row. I did not understand how they had the energy. The staff was GREAT!!! Friendly and willing to cut up and have some fun with customers.

Very dated and in need of a renovation. Issues with shower being lukewarm even though it was all hot water and same with the air-conditioner initially cooling down. In summer months that would be hard. Its saving grace is the friendly staff and location, one block from the Esplanade.

To be fair property was under construction. There was no ramp from reception to lifts. The place was clean but dated fittings that leaked or caused stains. Musty smelling room and the condiments looked old. But the bed was comfortable and the linen clean and fresh. Also, inexpensive, was a bonus.

Would have been a grand old lady in its day- and I do think they are working on restoration work at present. It’s ok for an overnight stay whilst transiting and it’s very handy to resturaunts and shops. It’s just a bit tired and dated but the tarrif reflects that.
