The house is located in the ancient village of Gombitelli 500 meters above sea level and surrounded by the woods of the Apuan Regional Park: an oasis of peace and relaxation where it is possible to practice biking or trekking for relaxing walks in nature or excursions to the summit of the Apuan Alps.
You can easily reach by car the beaches of Versilia (Viareggio 17 km) or important Tuscan capitals rich in historical and artistic beauty such as Lucca (24 km) and Pisa (37 km).

Characteristic 19th century stone residence completely renovated while maintaining the original appearance and materials such as terracotta floors, stone kitchen and typical wooden beamed ceilings; the house that can currently accommodate 4 people, is spread over 82 square meters on 3 levels with double exclusive entrance (one street side and one raised with balcony): on the middle level we find the dining area with kitchen and fireplace equipped for barbecue, a characteristic and large living room with exposed stone walls, a hallway and a bedroom with two twin beds (can be joined on request), upstairs the other bedroom with double bed and downstairs hallway and large bathroom.

The town is completely pedestrianized so it is necessary to park (free of charge) your car on the pitch at one of the two entrances to the town (the larger one on the side of the Church of San Michele).
In the village there is a store selling cold cuts, cheeses, pasta and other typical products and a bar with a refreshment point that also organizes themed musical evenings; in addition, two excellent restaurants serving local cuisine can be reached by car, but if you often want to eat full meals at home, we recommend stocking up before arriving in the village as there are no supermarkets in the area (the nearest one is on the road to Lucca 12 km away).
