Overall good stay. Our room smelled like smoke despite being a nonsmoking room. The bathroom was nice and spacious. The rooms need an update - the carpet in the entrance was stained and just looked somewhat outdated. However, the room was very spacious. Housekeeping was excellent; they even lined up all my shoes neatly. The bed was very large and comfortable. Excellent location, in the middle of it all and the beach promenade right across the street. The beach club was closed due to a black out Cannes film festival period? However we were there May 28 and the festival was already finished. We had to go to the public beach; at least the hotel was able to provide us with towels.

Pros: beautiful modern lobby; easily accessible and comfortable room; great location, probably the best in Cannes; helpful valet and bell service. Cons: no turn-down service despite the claim of being a 5 star property; very cheap on things like coffee capsules, soap, shower caps etc.; the restaurant (Scalina) was disappointing--it was our worst dinner in Cannes.

The hotel is very nice but we had a bad experience with the room toilet since there was a leakage and it wasn’t m handled efficiently by the staff. They could be more empowered and professional.

Location great but staff very unfriendly . Never offered upgrade and made us wait too long for room even they have availability. We called house keeping every day for missing towels and soap. And the beach club they said is from hotel and they charge for loungers and towels . Better options in the area for same price .

We really liked it here but when we checkin we gave out credit card for charges to the room and we had parking and ate at their restaurant, which was delicious but when we woke up the next morning we had a note under our door asking us to come to the front desk. They asked us to pay for the city taxes, parking and restaurant charges. I said I left my credit card. Oh we can only do 300 $ a day so you must pay and start back at zero. I said that is nuts, why take my card then. I felt like they didn’t trust us and made me fell uneasy. Next morning went to check out and the lady said, I see you prepaid for your room and charges to the room. Ya because you made us come and pay up front. Won’t be staying here again!

This is my first time writing review on Expedia. I am very disappointed with this hotel. It is very close to the beach and the view is amazing if you stay in the Seaview room, bed is comfortable and the view from the room is very nice. However, I found that we are being charged for extra expense on my deposit card WITHOUT any invoice about details to my email to notify us. I checked with the hotel team through email, and they DID NOT reply me after nearly a month. You have to keep chasing and chasing. They replied only a simple invoice, only 'in-room food' are stated on the invoice without details. We have to ask for more details again. We are being charged for extra consumption on alcohol and even PHARMACY (??dont even know what is it...medicine?). I am not sure (cos we are stilling CHASING) if I can get refunded on those items we didnt consume. we only consumed few bottle of water during my stays. Bad luck for us maybe to experience this exhausting back and forth. For those who want to stay in this hotel, you will get amazing view and it is very close to shopping area. But please remember to make down what you have consume in the room (maybe better to take photos) to avoid situation like me. I think no one want to experience this after their trip.
