"From top to tail, the show of quality and pride shine through, the detail and the enthusiasm are perfect.
A little thought and planning should be done to make the most of your stay at this venue as there is so much to do, or simply bring your walking shoes and step off on to the local walk along the river, perfect."

"Basic.. but comfortable. Had a ground floor which was easy to access. The apartments are nothing to write home about, but theyre well equiped and comfortable."

"This property seems very good for short stays, its just around the railway station and close to an Aldi's. The only thing I didn't like is that they have a washer but not a dryer. Apart from that, we really liked our stay at the Grand Station!"

"I enjoyed my stay there … the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant (for breakfast) were brilliant; breakfast was excellent … topped by the hotel being a five minute walk to the Beacon Parkrun start/finish spot! Brilliant."

"This is a great property, spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Also in beautiful surroundings….so why not 5 stars? I was here for three nights so the “cons” outweighed the “pros” for me.
Firstly, it was (and still is) advertised as having FREE WIFI. This is important to me as I was here for work and need internet access when I’m working away.
Reality - there is no internet! I did find an EE mobile wifi router in one of the kitchen drawers, but once I switched it on and connected to it, I was directed to an EE webpage prompting me to register a credit/debit card and pay to top up the data on the SIM card, as there was only 0.01 mb of data allowance left on it.
Not impressed with false advertising.
Secondly, hot water.
Reality - there were two choices of water temperature for the shower. Lukewarm & cold. The same applied to the other hot water taps in the property. I like a hot shower & I like to wash my hands and dishes in hot water. I presume this had been turned down at the boiler but I had no access to it to turn it up.
Not impressed.
Thirdly, heating. Neither of the bedroom radiators worked. The hallway radiator was full of air (only the bottom inch getting hot). I dare not bleed it as I presumed it was a sealed system and I didn’t have access to top up the system pressure.
Fortunately the bathroom and lounge radiators were fine so was able to keep the chill off the bedroom by leaving the doors open.
Beautiful place but won’t be back!"
"The Barns Hotel is a great place to stay. Staff are very accommodating and friendly, room was comfortable and clean and there is free parking.
The restaurant served reasonably priced food and the breakfast was lovely.
The manager kept the bar open until we had all returned from a local festival.
We would stay here again in the future 😁
