"The staff, especially the nice hostess/manager at check in. She went above and beyond to do her best to make me feel like a matter. I needed a cup that fit the lids in the breakfast area and she tore the place apart looking for the cup, and she found it. Most places just say sorry and don't make the effort. She did. She made me feel like a mattered. "

"Pros: If you are looking for a relaxing quite place, this is it. Beautiful area, quite, clear star filled skies at night. Wife loved feeding and petting the rescue horses and donkeys. Cons: Gas fireplace did not work, asked to have fixed three days in a row. Never did work. No paved roads on property, so very dusty. Food was good, but pricey. Coffee (filtered) quality was poor. Order espresso. "

"We love staying here at the Barranca Plaza Casita, having stayed many times. Floyd is a wonderful person and a great communicator. From the front bedroom the casita offers a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and it also contains all the amenities you will need. We will definitely be back-again!"

"Mountain view’s were incredible! Kitchen has a full set of dishes, utensils, cookware, and a large refrigerator with freezer. Laundry in unit makes it perfect for long term stays. The host is awesome, he is eager to provide the best possible experience. This is a great place to stay especially if you’re in town for the lab!"

This is an authentically idiosyncratic space in an authentically idiosyncratic place, and it might not be what everyone is looking for. It's exactly what we were looking for, and we could not have been more satisfied with the opportunity to bunk up comfortably, if not luxuriously, in this very special place. If we ever have a chance to return to Abiquiu, we won't bother exploring area listings. We'll come straight back to La Biblioteca and plan our trip around its available dates. Special props for the spacious rustic bathroom and friendly neighbor dogs."
