Villa in Colle Di Compito with 3 bedrooms sleeps 8

Al Mennucci was originally an old hayloft which has recently been converted into a delightful cottage. It is located in a superb position, high in the hills, 15 kms to the south-east of Lucca and surrounded by olive groves and pine trees. There are fantastic views over the countryside and the plain of Montecatini in the distance. Both the house and the pretty garden are exceptionally well-maintained by the owners and the interiors are equipped with all modern facilities. The swimming pool, situated to one side of the house, is in a perfect position to enjoy the beautiful views. Close to the pool area, there is a stone-built barbecue and pizza oven, an outdoor shower and an outdoor dining area. Near the driveway, about 20 meters from the house, there is small guesthouse with a double bedroom and bathroom. The secluded position and the fact that it is accessible by its private road ensure peace and tranquillity for the guests of Al Mennucci. This road lasts for 1 km and it is unsealed, therefore not suitable for low sport cars.

Wir verbrachten wunderbare 3 Wochen in Al Mennucci. Das Haus, der Pool und die fantastische Aussicht - hervorragend! Es war alles sauber und die gesamte Technik funktionierte einwandfrei. Aus eigener Erfahrung wissen wir, dass das nicht selbstverständlich ist. Paola, die liebenswürdige Eigentümerin, sah regelmäßig nach dem Rechten, Wäsche und Betten wurden jede Woche neu gemacht. Wir haben außer der etwas abenteuerlichen Zufahrt nichts auszusetzen und würden gerne wiederkommen! We spent wonderful 3 weeks at Al Mennucci. The house, the pool, and the fantastic view – excellent! Everything was clean, and all the technology worked flawlessly. From our own experience, we know that this is not a given. Paola, the lovely owner, regularly checked everything, and laundry and beds were changed every week. Apart from the slightly adventurous access road, we have no complaints and would love to come back!

La personne qui s'occupe de la maison passe 2 fois dans la semaine pour vérifier l'ensemble. Précision : ce paradis se mérite après un chemin de terre de 1km. Dear Paola and Roberto, Another week at Al Mennucci has come to the end. Thank you for keeping this property available for visitors. We have been travelling around Italy for the last 15 years, and this is by far the best place to stay! Why?: The well maintained house and garden, the view over Montecatini Terme, day and night. The pizza oven and grill, with the tools needed to use it properly. And Wood! The well equipped kitchen, with everything needed to make meals. We don’t miss anything!! It’s been a marvelous stay, once again! Hope to be back quiet soon! Arrivederci!

We had very nice holidays, thank you! the property is a 10 min ride dirth road up the hill through a forest and olive trees from the next village. it is very calm with a stunning view and the property is kept very clean by the land lord. we were there in the early season (beginning June) and the walls were still very cold which made the house smell a bit. with turning on the heating the smell disappeared soom. thanks for the pleasent stay!”

After spending hours online looking for a place to stay to celebrate my mums 50th I decided to book this place - I couldn't have chosen better!! From the moment I booked right through to the day we left, everything was perfect!! Simona, the lady who dealt with our booking could not have been better!! She even contacted the car hire company on my behalf! We staying here for a week in May (6 adults and 1 child), and had an amazing week!! The house was amazing, very clean and had everything you need and more! The grounds and pool area were great - the BBQ and pizza oven were fantastic! The view as you come up the drive way is incredible - there are a few tight corners on the road up however this accommodation is totally worth the slightly scary drive up!! I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone! It's in a great location close to both Luca and Pisa. Paula, the lady who owns the accommodation is lovely - she came to clean the villa on a few occasions throughout the week! Great place and would return.

The location in Tuscany was serene and the Villa beautiful. We all enjoyed the Lucca area. We did a lot of touring and found navigation of the area to be manageable. Almost universally we found the people to be friendly and helpful. As stated above, our Villa was lovely and unique, with any number of thoughtful details, in genera meeting or exceeding expectations. Our local contact, Paola, was extremely friendly and helpful. The area around Pieve de Compito is attractive with loads of touring options

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cette jolie maison ; très bien située ( près de LUCCA) cela nous a permis de faire quelques très jolies visites !!!! En plus nous avons sollicité les services du chef Stefano qui nous a régalé de très bons petits plats ....nous garderons de très bons souvenirs et espérons y revenir. [Translation by Salogi]We spent an excellent week at Al Mennucci in this lovely house; well located (near Lucca), this has allowed us to do nice trips! We also enjoyed the cooking services of Stefano, who made us tasting good dishes. We will keep beautiful memories and we hope to come back.

We loved Al Mennucci! Perfect location, gorgeous view, wonderful setting...best vacation ever! Just be aware the road is a bit tough to navigate up to the house, but if you can rough it up, it is worth it!
