Disappointed

Although we had been made aware of issues with the exterior fence prior to our arrival (family member sent video), we were very surprised to find so many issues that could have been easily addressed prior to our arrival. The home needs a thorough, deep clean from floor to ceiling. Opening the front porch door to find dirt and moldy pillows in not welcoming for guests. Simple things like correct bedding (Queen sheet and comforter on King bed) would have been much more welcoming after a long day of travel to reach the home. We spent the first few days addressing simple maintenance such as clearing plugged sink drains in the master bath and guest bathroom tub. Appliances (washer, refrigerator, stove) need repair or replacement. We replaced the missing hinge on front door to allow storm door to close properly. Attempted to fix one of the 2 counter stools, too much repair needed for gorilla glue! In Bedroom 3, there is a futon that is smaller than a twin bed, definitely does not sleep 2 nor is there bedding available for it. The grill did not have a gas tank and was too dirty for us to invest in a tank. We purchased our own charcoal grill which we left for others to use. One of the most frustrating issue was the pool heater. Since the description of the property called out the heated, private pool, we were very disappointed to learn the heater was not running. Took 4 days for a relative to stop over to instruct us on the heater settings which needed to restarted daily.
