"Beautiful view, magnificent breakfast, friendly helpful staff, peaceful location away from the crowds, an easy walk from the funicular tram. We were very sad to leave. Some great restaurants fairly nearby, and some that require stairclimbing stamina. Villa Silia is fabulous, but be aware that it, like a lot of Capri, is not for mobility limited individuals. Capri is best seen walking or in a boat."

"Great staff, Pina was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast staff was equally helpful providing a nice assortment of fresh food items. We had the panoramic suite, spacious with a private outdoor area to view the sunset. The hotel is located a short distance from the center of Sorrento, within walking distance of the port, restaurants and all other areas. We would definitely rebook this hotel!"

Hotel Royal Positano

8/10 Good

"The value of this hotel was great. It's situated at the top of Positano so walking down and back up from the town center was quite a trek! No need to go to the gym! The room was decent. A bit dated but clean overall. Nothing to rave about. The mattress was nice and firm and the pillows were amazing. We were well rested. We were situated at the end of the hall, so we did not have neighbours at one end and our friends were next door. Very quiet. Didn't get the chance to use the amenities but from our room's view, the pool looked amazing with the backdrop of Positano. Was happy that we got upgraded for free to a room with a view. Breakfast was only ok. Not terrible. All staff at the hotel were super friendly. I would stay here again."

"By far, one of the best stays we’ve ever had. I feel like we had clean towels every single time we returned to our room. The pool was immaculate and the view of the sea was absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend for a couples vacation/honeymoon! So close to the shops and restaurants as well. It was such a relaxing time and we felt so taken care of every moment we were there. "We absolutely loved our stay at Grand Hotel Vesuvio and would highly recommend it, especially if you’re visiting Naples for the first time. The location was one of our favorite things about the hotel. It’s right on the waterfront, close to the harbor and ferry terminals, and perfect for evening walks along the Lungomare. Naples can feel very busy and overwhelming in certain areas, so we really appreciated coming back to this part of the city each day. The area around the hotel felt cleaner, calmer, and safer to us, while still being very convenient for exploring the rest of Naples and taking ferries to the nearby islands. The hotel itself has so much character and history. Grand Hotel Vesuvio dates back to 1882, and you can really feel that sense of old-world elegance throughout the property. There is something special about staying in such a historic hotel overlooking the Bay of Naples and Castel dell’Ovo. Our room and the entire property were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The service was amazing from beginning to end. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Breakfast was also top-notch and one of the best parts of our stay. There was a wonderful selection, everything was fresh, and the service each morning was excellent. After traveling through several parts of Italy, Grand Hotel Vesuvio was a wonderful place to end our trip. Between the beautiful waterfront location, history, cleanliness, excellent brea"
