Private Elevated Pool & Deck!
Welcome to North Captiva Island! A short, ferry ride separates you from reality, for your tropical paradise vacation. As you approach the island by boat, the troubles and worries of the real world will fade away. Be on the lookout for tranquil manatees and playful dolphins that love to show off their aerial skills. Roughly 25 minutes after leaving the mainland, you will step ashore at one of the two ferry docks on the island. A host from our new property management company will greet you at the dock and escort you, via golf cart, the very short distance to Paradise Palms. There are no paved roads, traffic lights or traffic jams on this island. A North Captiva traffic jam is three golf carts within 50 yards of each other. North Captiva is a barrier island with five miles of beautiful white sand beaches, no crowds, turtles, dolphins and manatees. The majority of the island is State Park which you can enjoy free of charge. This custom, spacious home, built in 2015, is one of the few on the island that has a private pool located on the living level. You won't have to walk downstairs to enjoy the pool or cook on the grill. Simply walk out any of the 3 sliding glass doors from the kitchen, master suite or bedroom. The house has beautiful new furnishings and has been professionally decorated. The kitchen is fully stocked, complete with modern stainless steel appliances and a blender for your frozen drinks. The sky deck has 360 degree views of the Gulf of Mexico, Cayo Costa and Pine Island Sound. North Captiva Island has so much to offer! Sip your coffee as you enjoy inspiring sunrises from the roof deck in one our Adirondack chairs. Walk across the road to the boat docks to search for manatees. Walk any of the five miles of beaches, looking for shells. Charter a boat with one of the many experienced Captains to experience world class fishing. Kayak, paddle-board or swim in the warm shallow waters that surround the island. Load up your golf cart and head to the pristine white sand beaches to spend the day. Walk into the park and find your own stretch of private beach with no one around. Head back to your private pool for a cocktail and grill up the catch of the day or walk the beach at sunset, then head to one of the four great restaurants on the island for dinner. Don't forget to catch the moon and stars from the sky deck before turning in. There is plenty of room for all to gather in the open concept living area. The Master suite has a queen bed, attached bathroom, two dressers, a closet and a sliding glass door for pool deck access. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, dresser, closet and also walks out to the pool deck. Bathroom 2 is conveniently located between Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed, dresser and closet. Bedroom 4 is a loft (with pocket door) that has a sleeper sofa and dresser.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Can I drive to the island? No. Travel to the island is by ferry, small boat or small plane only. Most people take one of the two scheduled ferries to the island. We recommend Island Girl Charters because it docks closest to our house (about a 1000 ft). The website is www.islandgirlcharters.com The North Captiva Island Club ferry docks about 3/4 of a mile from the house. Their website is www.northcaptiva.com/daily-ferry-schedule. If you are using your own boat you may park and launch from Pineland Marina and dock at Barnacles which is 2/10ths of a mile from our house. Please contact Mainstay/ Barnacles directly for pricing.
IS A GOLF CART INCLUDED?
WE PROVIDE ONE GOLF CART FREE OF CHARGE.
Is there a grocery store on the island? There is a small market that has some essentials, located near the club dock but we recommend that you either buy your own groceries for the week and transport them on the ferry or use the grocery buying service available through Shally's Seashells (This is our property manager and they well send you information after booking) or Elite Grocery Service, 239-634-0513.
Are there restaurants and bars on the island? Yes. There are four: Barnacles Bar and Grill, Mangos Cafe and Grill, Over The Waterfront and the Boathouse. The last two require reservations during the busy season.
Are you part of the club? No we are not club members because we have our own private pool. You are still welcome at the club restaurants and you can rent bikes or kayaks from them or Boats and Fun.
Travel to North Captiva should begin with checking on flights to one of the major international airports nearby. SW Florida International (RSW) is a quiet and convenient airport that is about 36 miles away from Pineland Marina. Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) is about 32 miles away.
Tampa (TPA) is about a 2 1/2 hour drive and Sarasota (SRQ) is about an hour and 40 minutes if you want to rent a car and drive down to Pine Island.

The house is gorgeous and having a pool was everything. The island still has some damage but is beautiful. The owner was responsive to my questions prior to my arrival which was super helpful.
Fantastic home and wonderful stay. Any inquires we had were addressed pleasantly and quickly. The home is very clean and well stocked with everything we needed to cook or grill. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the deck pool daily. I plan on staying here again in the future. Highly recommend.
We have been to NCI 3 times and this house was the cleanest, beautifully decorated and best equipped of all of them
Both the owners and property managers were the quickest to respond and resolve the problem

Great week!
We were very happy with this property. Very nice to have a pool on site! Sunsets and sunrises were amazing, and we had a great view from the crows nest. A few things on the site did not match the property due to the recent storms, short on outdoor chairs and no king king table. The property was clean and organized, but we did find some of the dishes from the cupboards had to be washed before we could use them. Overall would rent here again.
We had a great stay on North Captiva! We enjoyed the deck on the top of the house with Adirondack chairs and the Osprey nest nearby (with baby ospreys!). Great location, close to the beach and near to Mango's and when it reopens Barnacles Bar. Management company was responsive when we let them know the hose was leaking on the deck by the pool. Thanks for sharing your beach house with us!
We loved Paradise Palms. The house was spacious and immaculate. The pool was so nice for our kids to gather around and relax and visit. We ran out of propane mid-grilling and a new tank was delivered within 10 minutes! It was a fantastic and memorable time for our family escaping the Minnesota winter weather! We will definitely return.
Great place overall. Very good location overall. Lots of construction going on due to the rebuilding from the hurricane last year. So be aware of that. The place was clean and exactly as described. There were some minor issues, like the dishwasher not being attached to the wall and tipping over whenever we loaded it. But it still worked and not a big deal. We had a great relaxing vacation!
This home is well positioned on the Island. We enjoyed the proximity to everything. It’s clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The beds were comfortable. But, if you’re a North Captiva regular, you know golf cart can make or break your stay. Their cart is top notch! Love that it’s up high and have big tires. We appreciated not having to worry about it. The island was a bit crowded and we didn’t have great weather. But the house was perfect. Thanks for sharing it with us.
We had the most amazing week at Paradise Palms. The house is just lovely! Spacious and super clean with everything you could possibly need! Beds were super comfortable. The location is spectacular on the runway. One Direction is open ocean and One Direction is the Bayside every morning we got up and walked around the circle to both sides, it was wonderful! Lots of starfish and we even found a live conch shell! We loved the outdoor shower as well nice to rinse off the beach before you head into the house. The pool is so convenient directly off the kitchen. We lived out there. I will definitely be returning. Thank you so much Scott and Jana for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! Sincerely, the serendipitous sisters ❤️😂
Beautiful home on an incredible quiet island. Perfect getaway. Elevated pool is an absolute highlight for lounging and grilling with a few cocktails. Large comfortable and CLEAN! The entire home was great. Service staff was communicative, respectful and very helpful. Thank you for an amazing stay!
Excellent communication with host. Property manager also very helpful/friendly when we could not find sheets for loft pullout couch. Beautiful decor. The pool was a crystal gem!
Very nice and well-appointed house. The pool on the second floor makes things much more convenient. It's not right on the beach but close to the manatee canal and Mainstays, and besides driving around in golf carts is the best part. We had four adults and three kids and everyone enjoyed it quite a bit. My only criticism would be that the fourth bedroom is more of a den and far from the bathrooms, but we put a teenager in there an he loved it.
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in North Captiva! From the beginning, communication with the hosts was super clear, friendly, and full of empathy. they truly cared about making our stay perfect. The house is in a fantastic location and has absolutely everything you need for a wonderful family vacation. The pool was amazing, the rooms were spacious and spotless. We found everything we needed and felt right at home. If I ever come back to the island, I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! Thank you for everything
Comfortable beds, warm clean pool on same level as beds, house was clean and everything worked. Owners were great to deal with. Would stay here again. Not really necessary to have a house on the beach for this island
This home is beautiful and well maintained. We loved the pool. Shally’s property management provided A+ service throughout our stay. Thanks for having us.
The house was clean and well cared for. The location was great. The management company staff were fantastic. If I needed something or had questions I would text them and they would get back to me right away. I would stay here again!
Our stay at this home on North Captiva Island was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something special. The house is beautifully kept, spacious, and perfect for families. We especially loved the rooftop deck it became our favorite spot for sunsets and late-night hangouts. Having our own private pool was such a bonus, and the included golf cart made it easy (and fun) to explore the island. The location was just right: tucked away enough to feel private, but close enough to everything we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals, and we enjoyed making breakfast together every morning before heading out for the day. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described if not better. What really made this trip unforgettable was how much the house added to the overall experience of North Captiva. It felt like home right away and gave us the perfect place to relax, unplug, and make memories. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique island getaway.
We had THE best time on North Captiva Island! The damage from the hurricane is still present but it did not distract from the natural beauty of the island. The house was perfect, well stocked and very clean! The pool was an added bonus for the couple of afternoons we had for lounging. We loved exploring the island both by foot and by golf cart. Highly recommend this house and the island for an unforgettable vacation.
House was clean and well maintained and very comfortable. Pool was great. Short drive on the golf cart to a beautiful beach.
The only complaint we had was the sulfur smell in the well water - just not used to that. Otherwise a great stay.
