"The Hotel is well located and easy to reach by car and an easy walk into city centre. The car park is a bonus, but very expensive! Our room was fairly sizeable for a group of 3. But the amount of tea and coffee provided needs to be improved. The bathroom, although fairly clean, was dated and in poor repair in some areas. The power of the shower was very poor, but the bath was excellent. Pool was lovely as was the steam room, sauna and jaquzzi, but was crowded at times due to half term holidays. No staff monitoring! In general a good stay, but the parking charges might put me off staying again"

"We have stayed 3 nights at the Family Room. The cleaning lady is just very friendly but also keeping the room clean. The hotel is at great location, close to the Cardiff Castle and high street. The choice of breakfast buffet is decent except the coffee. However, it really needs some serious upkeep. The room has dampings, the radiator is not operational in one of the rooms, only one lift is operational during our visit."

"I stayed for one night on a work trip, so spent very little time in the hotel. I arrived at around 8:30pm, the person on reception was friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and it was a good price. I left at 8am the following morning and didn't have time for breakfast. I would stay there again as I was happy with the facilities, which met my needs perfectly."

"I had booked two rooms for two nights in this beautiful historic building which is less than a 10 minute walk to the bay. The reception staff and the two ladies overseeing in the dining room when we had breakfast were all lovely and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble with queries and requests. Unfortunately mine and my partner's room could have been cleaner in places i.e. in the bathroom for example the base of the sink tap was filthy which I cleaned along with some other areas. Unfortunately the wet room is stained in places. There was also a patch of stained carpet by the window. One of the cups and one of the glasses had not been washed or not checked thoroughly and also the kettle was dusty. I did not raise this at the hotel as we were overall pleased with our stay but my sister did raise the issue with the window in her bathroom which was resolved very quickly. Hopefully this is not reflective of the hotel as I would not hesitate booking there again but just a thorough check and proper deep clean of our room prior to our arrival would have enabled me to give top marks."

"Very clean room, very comfortable bed. Bathroom is lovely and shower is great. Hallways are a little dated decor wise but apart from this all good. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Over night car park charge of £16. Did not dine in restaurant on this occasion or use the leisure facilities as we’re visiting friends. Would happily stay again."
