"Hotel although on the outside doesn't look very inspiring is near to Cardiff city centre and handy for shops and attractions. The room we had was spacious and suited our purpose. The hotel is in the middle of an upgrade and our room looked like it had recently been decorated and had new carpet. We were at a concert so didn't spend much time in the room. But the beds were comfortable. All the staff we had dealings with were very friendly and helpful. Meena on reception in particular was very helpful and patient when I couldn't get the room door open. The takeaway breakfast which was complementary was a nice touch."

"On arrival the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Our room was clean with everything in there we could need including a mini fridge. Breakfast gave a huge selection of options and again, staff were lovely. We will definitely stay again if we are in Cardiff."

"We pre-booked this hotel 9 months ago to attend a concert so we got a really good price and stayed in one of the suites (didn’t realise this on booking). The room was huge and clean and we were given complimentary drinks and snacks. The hotel was in a good location and short walk from the city centre and the stadium. The staff were not overly friendly but not rude. Parking cost £24 per hours which was different to the information provided by Hotels.com. We didn’t use the spa but this was an additional cost. Breakfast was £12 per person and was average for a hotel of this size. I have read a lot of negative reviews about this hotel - yes it’s a little dated and tired but we could not fault it. We have stayed in far worst hotels that cost more!"

"Decent hotel that is near the train station and principality stadium and city centre. No parking but multi storey by the station is reasonable and not at all far. Rooms basic but clean and functional. Lovely showers with rain forest heads. Tea and coffee in room. Air con also. Beds not the most comfortable and the bathroom had a see through door which during the night the light lit up the whole room. Would stay again if price was right. Very expensive this time as a big concert was on and all the hotels were expensive in Cardiff."
