The hotel is not an ideal location for a vacation getaway unless you are a sports fanatic such as golfing. The room was just so so and not at all what the website displayed.

Our room was spacious and had a balcony on the lake which was lovely. All staff on reception, in the spa and at breakfast were friendly and warm. Breakfast was good, usual buffet style. All round good value and pleasant stay.

Would recommend and stay again

Exceptional location, well presented and brilliant extra facilities like spa and pool. Food was excellent, room very good quality too. Staff polite and friendly, only minor point is there is not separate area for hotel guests to park so parking peak times when a lot of members using the golf course is difficult

Greeting at reception was nice and friendly. Main entrance and hotel reception area very nice. Our room was quite a way from the main hotel. Room was ok - underwhelming for a superior room, but adequate for a one night stay. Evening meal very enjoyable although service was average as waitress seemed not to be very happy. Walking back from hotel was very dark. Did ask reception if someone could drive us back, but was told she was the only one on duty. Overall quite nice.

Great stay. Very good service from all staff. Food could have been a bit better if I’m honest and was slightly overcooked. Not bad enough to put me off returning as it’s a lovely hotel in a nice setting. Showers could be a bit better as well.

Staff deserve a special mention - they made sure felt welcome and had everything we needed travelling with a baby. Room was slightly dated, but it was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. Gym and pool were great. Restaurant food was delicious.
