"I’m not an expert on what qualifies as a 4-star hotel, but naturally I can only compare this stay to other 4-star hotels I’ve experienced. Based on that, this felt closer to a 3-star.
I booked an executive twin room for three people, and the space felt quite small. The bed, which I expected to feel more like a larger double, seemed smaller than anticipated. In comparison to another 4-star hotel I’ve stayed at, where I only booked a standard double, the room there felt really big. That was disappointing.
The coffee selection was also limited. I would have expected more variety, such as both regular and decaf options. The coffee was too strong for my taste, although I appreciate that’s a personal preference.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the shower. I would expect a powerful shower in a 4-star hotel, but this one felt weaker than a standard shower at home. Even many 3-star hotels offer a proper power shower, which made this even more disappointing. While there was a bath available, I personally prefer using a shower, so this was a significant downside for me.
On a positive note, I appreciated the availability of two medium-sized water bottles and that it was easy to access ice.
I understand I could have raised the shower issue during my stay, but I find it uncomfortable to complain at the time.
Overall, while there were some positives, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations for a 4-star hotel."
