"We travelled in April with a group of friends and children aged 6-8 yrs old. It was a fantastic stay. Pros: -beautiful resort, the rooms were very spacious and the grounds well maintained. If you look around you can always see staff working hard doing maintenance, they do a great job. - so many amenities. Our family enjoyed the many pools, water park, arcade, VR room, mini golf, bowling. Some things cost extra but that was all made clear before we travelled so we were prepared for that. - the beach is beautiful, however very rough. We still enjoyed it, just keep a close watch on everyone. Again this was something we knew beforehand so we weren’t surprised. - the staff was all very friendly, this really stood out to me. It didn’t matter who we encountered, they were all lovely! Check in and check out was very smooth and they accommodated our request to be placed close to our other friends. - food was great for all inclusive. Plenty of options. We liked not having to make reservations for most restaurants. We ate early (6 pm) because of the children, and we never had to wait long to be seated. There were several breakfast options, Isla was our favourite. Nice calm atmosphere and lots of fresh options. The coffee shop in the main lobby was also amazing! Also there are food trucks around the pools which was convenient with kids! Cons: - very large, but this was not a huge hinderance for us. I will say the trolly system was excellent!"

"Property is huge, clean, and just beautiful. We had the basic resort pool view room, and it was very spacious. We had only 1 thing to say about the room well 2. 1 it had a smell of almost like a moldy smell and 2 it gets cold, so we made sure to turn off the A/C that auto came on when you entered the room. We had no issues with the staff, good luck with getting a lounger around the main (infinity) pool. There's a variety of food choices daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the buffet. Our 1 other thing about the property is we felt that there should be more daily activities to entertain guest mid-day around noonish-1pm. Also, the lounges, sports bars, theaters etc. didn't open until late in the evening 10pm and later. So, after breakfast until 230-3pm and during dinner time 6-630p-10pm there's nothing to do. if you want to just chill, relax at beach or by the pool all day until about 6-630pm this is perfect! Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, but we would have enjoyed even the more if we had more to do during the day. We are not big "excursion or beach (sunbathing)" type of people. We still had a beautiful time - we got to catch up on rest, enjoy the property and enjoy time away from home! OAN - bring firestick or something to plug into the TV for if/when you're in the room to watch TV on because not many English channels to watch on tv."

"My friends and I had a great week at this hotel, I highly recommend it if you’re looking for parties and have fun. If that’s not what you are looking for don’t go there. Great hotel, staff was friendly at all time and food was delicious, keep in mind this is the Caribbean so obviously all the food is Hispanic-Caribbean. I will keep going to RIU Hotels "

"The resort itself is a 4/5, the food is not bad and the buffet has many options and good for breakfast lunch and dinner. However, the staff are so rude and pushy. We were physically harassed by “animacion” staff to participate in games we didn’t want to. and by physical i mean grabbed and pulled and shushed and tried to force into participating after multiple times saying we’re not interested and no thank you. We also had such a difficult time with the app. we could not set it up or get ahold of the front desk to help us get basic things like towels. multiple times our room was cleaned and all of our towels were taken but not restocked. 20% of the staff were kind and welcoming and made for an enjoyable experience but honestly this resort cannot be 5 stars like advertised if their staff has as bad of manners as what we experienced. We understand there’s amenities available but we were so sick of being harassed everyday to do the spa, play volleyball do excursions or purchase unnecessary souvenirs on the beach. For the most part we did enjoy our stay outside of these experiences. Would i recommend someone else stay here? definitely not but that’s simply because of the way we were treated by staff. and mind you we did tip occasionally when service was good. so to end this review honestly it deserves a 3/5. Good enough but would not return."
