Location Information From golden sandy beaches to breathtaking coastal walks, Pendine and the wider Pembrokeshire coast are right on your doorstep - whether you crave adventure, relaxation or a little of both.
Pendine benefits from a beautiful 7-mile sandy beach, making it one of the UK's largest, and much of the beach is dog friendly all year round. The resort has recently benefitted from a multi-million pound regeneration centred around a state of the art Museum of Land Speed which opened earlier this year. You will also find a traffic free 500m promenade overlooking the beach with easy access to Lotus; a new Asian Fusion restaurant and take-away along with a fully licenced restaurant located at The Caban that is open all day, and a lovely bistro called Bistro on the Bay, often with weekend entertainment. For those that want to get out onto the water there is Chad N' Olly's Beach Hut that has paddleboards, kayaks, surfboards, bodyboards, wetsuits and buoyancy aids for hire.
There is a good choice of outdoor activities available in the area, ranging from horse riding across the sandy beach or coasteering, to a variety of water sports, abseiling, orienteering, caving and gorge walking. Nearby you have the ancient township of Laugharne, famous for being Dylan Thomas' hometown with its beautiful Castle and Taf Estuary backdrop.
There are many beautiful sandy beaches in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, with the popular resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby nearby. There are lovely independent shops and gorgeous places to sit and enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by in these bustling seaside towns.
If you want something a bit more relaxed, then one of our favourites is Coppet Hall, with plenty of car parking and water sports with a little coffee shop. The Pembrokeshire Coastline has many fabulous walks, and Colby Woodland Gardens offers an enchanting woodland walk down to Amroth beach.
There is an abundance of interesting attractions and days out locally, including Castles, historic houses and the National Botanical Gardens of Wales to name a few.
For the younger generation we are a short drive away from the likes of Folly Farm, Manor House Wildlife Park, Heatherton World of Activities and Dinosaur Park. If you are a "foodie" then there is a fantastic choice of restaurants nearby.
