Carrog Holidays

Stopped for 1 night. Brilliant central location, noisy at night though. Room was clean, although the fan was dusty and we stopped on a heatwave weekend. Staff are friendly l, however they expect you to know about the digital room key system. We did not. They expect you to know about the online check in. We did not. Had to spend 15 mins sorting this out when we got there for them to charge £1.60 for me to do all their work for them...how does that work????...hotels.com didnt tell us we had to do all this stuff. Despite that, decent stay, great location for a night or 2 if you dont mind the lively night life.

Very clean room and well equipped. Entry via keying in a code for street entry door and then room door - no staff on site, but available via telephone/messaging. Only convenience store nearby, so it is a walk to restaurants and bars etc. Close to Anglian cathedral and walking distance to town centre.

Fabulous grand old building, great location. Apparently under new management and changes are being made. Some areas are tired and worn, the room we were given was beautiful, but it was in the basement with no opening windows and a strong smell. The Aircon doesn't work at the moment, (part of the changes and renovations being made) we were immediately moved to another beautiful room on the 4th floor. The lady on reception couldn't have been more helpful. Comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. Breakfast is extra but very good value hotel for the location. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was good and rooms spacious and comfortable. Stayed for 2 nights but coffee etc wasn’t replenished on the 2nd day .
