Lamaro Hotel Barcelona 5★ | Preferred Hotels & Resorts | Lifestyle Collection

8/10 Good

"The Lamaro is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location in the gothic quarter. The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed at times. The elevators were small and wait times for them were lengthy, at times. My room was pleasant but I had a view of a wall. In my opinion, the property is not a 5 star hotel. The towels were extremely hard and I couldn’t figure out how to get the coffee machine in my room to work. There is a rooftop bar with a stunning view of the cathedral and city. Overall it’s a lovely hotel, but I guess I was expecting a little more for $400 US a night."

"Ideal location for everything! It was close to shops and restaurants and offered AMAZING views of the Sagrada Família. The staff, especially on the rooftop, were phenomenal! Make sure to tip well and they will take (extra) care of you! The room was clean and spacious and was perfect for two people."

Barcelona Airport Hotel

"Stayed overnight after the Barcelona grand prix, 2026. Checkin was easy, staff provided excellent information on amenities, checkout times, and shuttle service to the airport, and also asked about our desired type of bed. The hotel had actual 2-bed rooms with genuine queen sized beds, a rarity in Europe, which was very welcome as I'm a tall person and like to stretch out when sleeping/relaxing. The breakfast buffet was at extra cost (usual for Europe) but was an excellent spread, and served in a very comfortable restaraunt environment. Hotel had indoor and outdoor seating for dining. Showers were hot and great water pressure. The shuttle service was prompt, and not at max capacity when I departed close to noon the next day. Do be advised, you cannot bring any large items like bikes, skiis, or snowboards on the shuttle. Unfortunately I didn't ask or read about this ahead of time, as my brother was traveling with his road bike and thus had to take a taxi to the airport."

"Great hotel adjacent to Sants train station with Mercadona supermarket underneath. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming and provided a room upgrade which meant we had to wait till 4pm for room, however a complimentary drink was provided while we waited. The room was clean and maid service provided clean towels every day. The pool area was a real highlight and was great to come back to after a hot day of sightseeing. My only critique would be around how conferences are situated in the hotel, there was one there from our second day and they closed off the WC on the third floor which meant we had to go all the way back to our room to use the toilet. They also took over our table at breakfast forcing us to move despite my 10 year old son sitting there. The staff in the restaurant on the top floor were also rude and unhelpful, although I'm not sure if this is affilliated with the hotel but it still reflects poorly on the Moxy."
