The farmhouse LE ROGHETA consists of 2 flats (Casa Claudia and Casa Letizia), totally autonomous and offering large private outdoor spaces. The house is located in the countryside, about 1 km from the village of Campiglia d'Orcia, in a hilly area and overlooks the wide and splendid panorama of the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO world heritage site. An area that combines the unique beauty of the Tuscan countryside with precious artistic and spa centres such as Pienza, Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni.... It also benefits from the proximity of the mountains, in fact it is located on the slopes of Monte Amiata, which makes it possible to visit its beautiful medieval centres and to reach its cool, green chestnut and beech woods in just a few minutes, a refreshment for hot summer days.
Casa Claudia (approx. 80 m) is the ground-floor flat and is directly connected to the courtyard-garden overlooking the Val d'Orcia. It has two double bedrooms and a large living room with kitchen area, separated from the living room by a large arch. One can dine at the large table and appreciate the warmth of the open fireplace in colder weather. In fine weather it is certainly more pleasant to eat under the panoramic portico, which overlooks the farmyard or in the farmyard itself, to enjoy the view of the countryside and Pienza.
The large threshing-floor garden, onto which the flat opens, makes it possible to grill on the stone barbecue, but also to stretch out on the armchairs in the shade of the fig or olive tree or to sunbathe in complete privacy. The farmhouse can be reached along a road of about 500 metres, which is unpaved but has many cemented parts. The property is private and has an extension of 10 hectares, partly cultivated with olive trees. Parking is possible along the driveway. Access to the flat is also possible with a wheelchair as there are no internal or external stairs.
It is possible to reach all the localities of the Val d'Orcia in a short time: San Quirico d'Orcia, with its well-known Collegiata; Pienza, the town of Pius II, a UNESCO heritage site; Montalcino, famous for its Brunello; Bagno Vignoni and Bagni S. Filippo, with their healthy thermal waters. In a few minutes you can reach the cool woods of Monte Amiata and visit the beautiful medieval villages on its slopes. Within a few kilometres are Siena and the lakes of Bolsena and Trasimeno, with their beaches and characteristic villages.
