"The room was run down. The bathroom had peeling paint on the walls, and around the sink. The toilet was so close to the wall you had to sit to the side or you legs would fit. There was a pile of equipment, boxes stored outside the door."

"Amazing home ! 2 redwood trees one foot away from the master bedroom king bed window ! Skylights everywhere…..you are in a redwood forest ! Host is nice and responsive, has a great kitchen, nice redwood shaded deck for doing my daily Qigong. Peaceful, quiet, this Home has everything you could need."

"The good - Bed was comfortable and location in town is good, grounds are pretty. The bad - Carpet in our room was old and dirty, we didn’t feel comfortable walking on it barefoot. Decor is dated. Low end bathroom feels like you are in a cheap motel. Continental breakfast and coffee are not good, no effort to provide anything nice, can’t get a decent coffee. Overall this place is too pricey for what you get, It is located in a very nice neighborhood, and the website and pricing suggest it is a higher end boutique hotel. The level of quality doesn’t match, a missed opportunity in my opinion, I won’t stay here again."

"I normally do not leave bad reviews, but this place was honestly unacceptable. As soon as we arrived, we got a bad feeling. The outside property looked completely trashed with garbage everywhere and broken appliances left around. We tried to ignore it and hoped the cabin itself would be better, but it was just as bad inside. The cabin looked like it had not been properly cleaned in a very long time. The bedding had mysterious stains on it, the floors were filthy and looked like they had never been mopped, and the entire place felt dirty. The bathroom was the worst part the door was practically a different color from grime, and the shower had standing water along with mildew and what appeared to be mold. To make matters worse, we could not even safely access the loft because it felt extremely unstable. The photos online are very misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property at all. It looks nothing like the listing and feels completely neglected. We ended up leaving almost immediately because we did not feel comfortable staying there. We contacted customer service for a refund, but the owners denied it, so it was money down the drain. Save yourself the disappointment and book somewhere else. I wish I would have gotten more photos to show but like I said I immediately left."

"We had a relaxing (Mother's Day) weekend stay in the private studio suite at Eric's beautiful home. We were in the area for my cousin's wedding weekend - in both downtown Los Gatos on Friday and at lovely Saratoga Springs for the wedding. Easy access to both events and close enough to shoot over Hwy 17 to have breakfast and browse before the wedding on Saturday. We had traveled from Sonora, and were grateful for the comfortable serene setting Eric's place offored. You may wish to bring along a couple of folding chairs if you want to sit inside at the drop leaf table inside the studio. Otherwise, sitting/laying on the bed is perfectly comfortable."

"The guest suite in Joe’s backyard is magic. The location is stunning, with a beautiful redwood tree right outside that makes the whole place feel peaceful and special.Joe and his entire family were wonderful, thoughtful, and incredibly welcoming. Everything worked exactly as it should, and I was very grateful to have stayed there.I highly recommend making the drive to the nearby state parks while you are there. Wonderful people, wonderful place, and a truly memorable stay."
