"Beautiful hotel. Clearly a labour of love and wonderful to stay in a building with local history. Quiet and peaceful despite being in the town centre. Lots of great food and drink options nearby. "
"We stayed for an event at UEA and the location was perfect for this. Setting was beautiful in a small village with a river running through -great for an evening stroll. Our bedroom was very very close to the road which becomes a commuter cut through in the mornings. This did lead to some unwelcome traffic noise from around 530am. "
" Very convenient for walking into Sheringham and connecting with North Norfolk amenities by train or bus, easy to get to the beach or stroll through the town"
"Great easy stay, lovely staff, lovely dinner and good breakfast. Shower pressure not great in the panelled room but otherwise a good stay. Nice 8 km local walk nearby ."

"We had a lovely double room at the front of the hotel that was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and had a very good shower. The bed was very comfortable and there were extra pillows provided if we needed them. Our evening meal was delicious and excellently cooked. Breakfast was also really good in fact one of the best breakfasts i have had in a hotel for a long time. I had the Greek yoghurt with granola and fruit and honey which had lots of lovely fresh fruit in and my partner had the cooked breakfast, both were generous portions. It is a very old building and could do with a bit of a makeover in places but it was a busy hotel and seemed popular with the locals and the staff were wonderful, very attentive, polite and happy to help."
"Near blickling hall. Good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Nice walks. We made use of a NT Explorer 4 day pass. Lots to do around blickling hall. Free parking."
"The room, facilities were fantastic. The little touches, Norfolk Natural Living….. bubble bath, shower gel and shampoo with conditioner, added to the quality of our stay! Bread source breakfast was delicious! Home made bread source biscuits with their amazing coffee in the room was lovely to have on arrival and again first thing in the morning. Highly recommend, everything was as advertised. "
