"There was a dead roach on the floor when we walked in, as well as melted candy on the coffee table, the seating cushions smelled of urine, the air conditioner had mildew on it, and the furniture was different than in the pictures.Communication was great until we notified the host we were leaving. Have not heard anything back, of course. Extremely disappointed in this experience. We were so looking forward to experiencing Cedar Key. We left without staying the night. Everything in Cedar Key was booked. So we went to Gainesville, FL. Spent the night in a clean hotel room and went home the next day. "

"“We had an amazing stay at Fishtail Lodge in beautiful Cedar Key! This spacious stilt home with a beautiful view of the gulf was the perfect getaway for our family.The house is well-equipped and comfortable. Everything was clean and thoughtfully stocked — fresh linens, towels, and a full kitchen with all the essentials we needed for cooking. The large private dock was a highlight; we spent hours fishing, watching dolphins and birds, and enjoying stunning sunsets over the water.Location-wise, it’s on a safe, quiet private road, which made it feel secluded yet still close enough to town for quick trips to restaurants and the historic Cedar Key area. The outdoor space was ideal for relaxing with coffee in the morning.Communication with the host was excellent, and check-in was smooth. We especially appreciated the washer/dryer and two full bathrooms, which made things convenient for us.If you’re looking for a peaceful, fishing-focused, or just plain relaxing Florida Gulf Coast vacation away from the crowds, Fishtail Lodge is fantastic. We can’t wait to return! Highly recommend.”"
