"The room was spacious and quiet, but a little dated. The lounges were a bit uncomfortable. We were surprised that no crockery or cutlery was supplied in the kitchenette. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast options were very good, with hot food being cooked to order rather. The hotel is well positioned - close to the centre of town and easy to access."

"This is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting Napier; charming art deco architecture, very central, nice big room, great shower, highly recommended. It's only just reopened after refurbishment and is a little bare, suggest putting flowers in reception and some art or photos on the walls (no cheap kitcsh please consult a local curator)"
