"Charming and unique stay A wonderful stay at the Corinium Hotel. The building (dating back to the 1590s) is full of character and beautifully preserved.I stayed in one of the original rooms on the very top floor, which added a lot of charm and character to the experience. It really felt like stepping back in time, but with all the comfort you need. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. It’s also very dog-friendly, which gives the hotel a warm, cheerful atmosphere.The location is perfect, just minutes from the main high street, cathedral and shops.Definitely the place to stay in Cirencester — highly recommended!"

"Perfect base from which to explore the Cotswolds and surrounding area. Friendly staff and nice pub style food. The room was spacious and reasonably priced. Pretty isolated but there is a petrol station within about 50 metres which has a shop for any essentials "

"This was a great property from which to explore multiple locations in the Cotswolds, and even Slimbridge for birding. We visited Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water and Hill, and Moreton in Marsh, and British Motor Museum. So much to do. Great food. Property was spacious and comfortable with many activities for our 6 and 12 year olds, including a high swing. Freddie is a responsive and helpful host."

"This is the second time we’ve stayed in Smuggsbarn Cottage. The property is lovely and roomy for 7 adults and a toddler. Comfy sofas and beds. Kitchen is well stocked. Toddler friendly with stairgates apart from one upstairs. Not sure why it’s not fitted here. Nice garden. We sadly cannot return as my son in law is allergic to animals and had an asthma attack while there due to dogs being there previously. He had to leave the property."

"As it’s an old building the stairs are a little narrow in places. No good for disabled people as no lift. "
