"WOW! The villa was even better than in photos. We did not speak the same language as the hosts, but they did absolutely everything they could to make our stay perfect! We hosted our wedding here with 21 people, including ourselves. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The venue, food, vendors, etc. were just wonderful. "This Villa was the perfect escape while also close to some fantastic day trip experiences. I was lucky enough to have a wedding here and also one week stay with family. The hosts, Mirella and Francesco, were exceptional for both our stay and our wedding. The experience was unforgettable, and I cannot thank them enough. "We loved the location, the house, the pool and the views. After a week, we felt as if we really lived in Treppignana. We were able to do laundry and used the dishwasher sometimes. Very well appointed. "

"We left a big piece of our collective hearts in Treppignana! The massive, rustic building was perfect for our family group. When you travel a long way (Canada and Norway) it’s great to be impressed and that we were! Everyone was kind and accommodating to us. It was a very personal experience. We had the pizza chef come to feed us one evening. This is most highly recommended. I got pretty good at driving the road up to the palazzo but I recommend two things: at first, don’t do it in the dark, and be sure to rent a narrow, sturdy vehicle. Overall a 10/10 unforgettable experience. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this villa – the setting is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. The villa was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.Our children especially loved the alpacas, chickens, and tortoises. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, even leaving us a delicious homemade cake on arrival.The nearby villages are quiet but charming and worth visiting. We also took day trips to Florence and Pisa – longer drives, but definitely worth it.Thank you for a fantastic stay!"

"Lovely old mountain house with great pizza oven and stone built BBQ. The gardens are great and the pool was amazing. THAT VIEW!! you feel like you are swimming in the mountains. We even saw fire flies at night. "

"Our family of nine spent a week here and everyone was enchanted by the gorgeous setting and unusual home. The grounds were breathtaking with the river running behind the house and lots of places to enjoy the outdoors. We saw a family of foxes one night and we enjoyed the fireflies in the evenings. We slept with the windows open and the sound of the river running was beautiful. The house itself was unusual with the features of the ancient mill built into the home. The 5 bedrooms, each with a private bath were perfect for a large family. It was very clean and updated and the bedrooms were comfortable. Our hosts and the property manager were so helpful and they even left us a huge basket of fresh fruit. Our only challenges were the spotty WiFi (likely due to the location and the 9 people trying to use it), and the very American desire for a clothes dryer. We found the kitchen, while nicely equipped, a little difficult to use to prepare large meals, but we made it work. Overall, the home is like no place we have been before and it made our trip unforgettable!"
