"My partner and I booked this property however when we arrived at 7pm, there was a large gate blocking the entrance and no one was there. We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. It took us until 945 pm before we were able to get a far from desirable accommodations. We were preparing to sleep in our car by that time. We have yet to receive a refund or response. There...

"When they say that 4x4 with high clearance is required, it is no joke. At least if you turn from Rt 142 driving from Monteverde. 6km of off roading at crawl speed. Fun if you are prepared. The road from the opposite direction is better paved, but you would still feel more comfortable in a SUV. Google does not estimate driving time on bad roads correctly. Expect extra time needed at the end. The place is small and basic, but clean. And the views are simply amazing. You oversee the valkey and the...

"We really enjoyed our stay at Eco Sol! The view was spectacular and the bed was very comfortable! Dahana was easy to contact and very helpful. You definitely need a 4 x 4 to get there. Parts of the road are rough, but worth it when you get there! We would definitely stay here again. "

"Wow! What a wonderful property, we did not want to leave. So comfortable and luxurious, with beautiful verandah and an outside bathtub and shower. Our teenagers loved it too, gorgeous pool area and comfortable rooms and great kitchen. We also so enjoyed viewing toucans, humming birds and other wildlife right from our porch. Good WiFi and netflix etc. Laundry also done for us. Overall a brilliant stay!"

"The views! It was absolutely stunning here. The location was really far out from things, about 30 mins or more to get places. But waking up with the view of the volcano and the noises of animals around us were amazing. The bed was super comfortable and the place was perfect for what we needed while we were there. "

"Even though I booked this hotel for the amazing views of the volcano and we had rain and clouds the entire time so we never saw the volcano, we still enjoyed our stay immensely! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast buffet had a good variety of hot foods and made-to-order eggs/omelettes, and Heliconia was quite good for dinner. The grounds were beautiful even without a view of the volcano and we really enjoyed the offsite hot springs that were included with complimentary shuttle... not as big as some of the others but beautiful and not crowded. Staff were all wonderful especially Melvin in the restaurant. Will definitely stay here if we come back to the area again!"

"The perfect place to stay. We could not have been happier been our choice to stay at the Springs. The staff was all very friendly and attentive, facilities were very well maintained, clean and exceeded our expectations. The activities onsite with Club Rio were all 5star and the off site activities we easily booked through the concierge blew us away. Truly happy with our decision to stay at the Springs. We drove past other places like Baldi and Tabacon and we were so happy we were at the Springs instead! "
