"Great location for walking around Bordeaux. Large room and excellent bathroom. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Our only concern was that to reach the rooms you had to climb stairs with your luggage and as we had heavy suitcases it was not easy "

(I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "Great stay. Recommend this hotel if you are traveling to the left bank. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Great breakfast in a beautiful room. They also own the winery down the road 3 meters and can arrange a 35 euro tour and wine tasting. Pierre was our guide and gave us a fantastic tour. "

"Considering the price, this was a great value option in the Medoc wine region. The hotel is a little dated but clean and well maintained. The reception staff are great.
The only thing that could have improved our stay was having more to do around the hotel with young children. With the outdoor pool out of action we were able to use the indoor pool at lunchtime and dinner time each day but otherwise there wasn't much to do. It would be great for example if they could install some petanque courts and provide the equipment. Also more bikes, we were interested in hiring bikes but someone else had hired them."

"We had a truly one-of-a-kind experience staying at Château Sénéjac. The château itself beautifully blends historic charm with modern touches, and our spacious room was tastefully decorated. We were warmly welcomed and treated with genuine hospitality by the wonderful Pascal, Emma, and Kim. A couple of highlights were conversing with the wonderful staff, enjoying breakfast in the château’s picturesque backyard, admiring the chateau’s interior, and doing the wine tour an unforgettable setting.
We’re so glad we chose to stay here. While part of us wants to keep this place a secret, it would be a real shame not to share such a beautiful and special gem with others."
"This hotel wasn’t what I expected. No front desk staff after 7. Room had one full bed and a loveseat type of sofa to sleep on. Had to ask for sheet for it-it was vinyl. Paid for 2 breakfasts and there was hardly anything being served-no eggs left and the rest of the food was scarce."
