"Catherine was a wonderful host. Very welcoming and friendly.We are an extended family group (children from 11-17) and so the accommodation was ideal with lots of bedrooms. The covered eating area outside was great for social games and eating. The area indoor areas stayed cool on the hot days.We all enjoyed the pool area for cooling off and Catherine and her daughter had set up a volleyball net which we thoroughly enjoyed using. Lots of loungers and seating around the pool too.In DOMPIERRE sure Bresbe we were able to shop for provisions at the supermarket.The local area is quiet but close by there is a theme park and zoo (le Pal) which is well worth a visit for the animals and the rides. Moulins (30 mins away) has a riverside area with table tennis, boules, volleyball and a supervised small swimming area. We also booked our canoe trip here which involved the company driving us up river and we then paddled back to base over a few hours. You can also hire bikes from here at the tourist information.Thank you for a wonderful week Catherine."

"Ma fille et moi-même venons de passer une nuit dans ce fabuleux hôtel. Le cadre est splendide, très somptueux et bien décoré aussi bien à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Le jardin est magnifique et la piscine un plus bien appréciable en ces jours de canicule. Notre chambre était parfaite. Le personnel accueillant, agréable et à l'écoute (à l'accueil comme au service). Le gérant a également passé du temps pour discuter avec nous de la ville et alentours. Merci encore de nous avoir consacrer du temps en fin de service. Le petit déjeuner un délice, varié en salé et sucré, et copieux. Une adresse que je garde pour une prochaine halte ! "What a terrific staff in an incredibly historical environment steeped in history. We love this place. Moulins is off the beaten path but an amazing little city with tons to offer. Hotel Mercure, in the heart of the city, is a gem!"
