In the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold, with thoughtful touches and quirky charm
Brimming with character, this little Cotswold gem is the perfect blend of modern comfort, thoughtful touches and quirky charm. Flagstone floors, exposed stonework and wooden beams have been lovingly restored and retained throughout this three-storey traditional cottage.
The ground floor sitting room is dominated by a beautiful inglenook fire place with a wood burning stove, ideal for cosy winter evenings; whilst the open-plan kitchen and dining room is bright and well-equipped for even the keenest chef, and leads out onto the small private courtyard for those early morning coffees or summer alfresco drinks.
A steep and narrow stone spiral staircase leads to the first floor where there is a tastefully furnished twin bedroom and the family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The top floor is accessed via a steep, wooden spiral staircase that opens out to a stunning principle bedroom with an ornate double bed and views across the rooftops of Stow-on-the-Wold.
Honey Cottage is situated in the centre of Stow-on-the-Wold, with close reach of all the beautiful traditional pubs, and quaint coffee shops.
Additional Information:
Sorry, no pets.
Children over the age of 12 years of age welcome (unsuitable for younger children due to spiral staircases).
Please be aware of two spiral staircases in the property; a steep, stone spiral staircase leads to the first floor with a low doorway on descent; a further wooden spiral staircase leads to the second floor. There are grab rails and motion sensor lights in both stairways.
The first floor bedroom has low ceilings and there is limited headroom when using the bath's overhead shower.
A charcoal barbecue is provided.
The bedding is non-feather.
The nearby supermarket offers electric vehicle charging points.
There is a hair dryer in each bedroom.
There is road-side parking available in nearby streets, as well as a nearby public car park. Please ask our bookings team for more information.
There are single yellow lines outside of the property, which allow you to load and unload your vehicle.
