"The weather turned for the worse a few weeks prior to our stay. We hoped for the best and got snow several days but the Aurora showed us what we needed the last night there. Our dog sledding adventure was the highlight of our vacation!! Being a dog sled racing fan and having the privilege to sled behind a team of athletes that just completed the Iditarod! A 1000 mile race for a second place finish with Top Musher Matt Hall! We had the the opportunity to meet Matt‘s wife and musher, Elke who recently proved herself a forced to be reckoned with in a race this past winter! These are top-notch folks! "I was hesitant to stay in a dry cabin, but we extended our trip and all "regular" cabins were already booked. Brenda is a super host, making sure we were comfortable and had all we needed.
