We`ve lovingly preserved this charming old bakery while transforming it into a romantic sanctuary that perfectly balances historic character with modern luxury. Every detail has been carefully considered to honour the building`s heritage while creating an elevated guest experience.
The landscaped outdoor space, complete with relaxing hot tub, provides the perfect setting to unwind along Chester`s tranquil towpath. Watch narrowboats drift by from the landing where old-world charm meets contemporary comfort.
Chester city centre is just a pleasant 1 mile walk away, or a quick 5-minute taxi ride - giving you the perfect balance of peaceful retreat and easy access to the historic city`s attractions.
You are able to enjoy all areas belonging to the property, the entrance path and courtyard are via a canal towpath.

Please note that the cottage is accessed via the canal towpath, which is a public walking route used by pedestrians, cyclists, and dog walkers. While this provides a unique and peaceful setting, guests should be aware that the nearest road access for unloading your car is approximately a 2-3 minute walk from the cottage entrance. The private courtyard area offers complete privacy.

Please note that parking isn`t provided with the cottage as we don`t have a traditional front roadside entrance. Access is on foot via the canal towpath.
However, there`s plenty of free, unrestricted street parking available on the nearby roads.
We have drawn out these streets and included it as an image in the listing, this will also be sent to you on your arrival date.
Please note that as a historic building, the cottage features traditional low doorways and stairs - mind your head!
